So Joe Whitt. Is he is or is he ain't our DC?? Two hours ago it seemed that he was, then 1 hour ago it seemed he wasn't and was staying in Dallas. It's SO hard for me not knowing if I should hate someone.

I would think (OK, maybe "hope") that the new regime is looking for a renewed energy, the type you won't find in a .500 coach. A rising star who can not only inspire the fanbase but instill confidence in his players. For that reason, I'm thinking Weaver is being given a strong consideration. I'm sure Shen has run the numbers on that approach but sometimes numbers only tell half of the tale. Losing BJ hurt and definitely set us back, but the sour grapes part of that story tells me that maybe BJ wasn't what we thought he was. Perhaps more prone to stay in his comfort zone than we imagined.So since I am now on the Weaver bandwagon, that probably won't work out either. But this is the type of stuff that keeps us on this site incessantly.

Somehow I could see the same description being used for JJG. In fact the presser clip posted above his demeanor kinda reminds me of Gibbs. I could see Slovik slippin in a few "super smart" and "fought their gut out" in his interviews. Winners can lead by example. And I'm usually a rah-rah fiery coach guy. ((but if he loses the team I could see DeSean giving him a purple nurple as well lol)

^ TRUPH^ If we get offered a trade down for picks #6-9 plus a bunch more picks to begin a true roster infusion and then refuse it because we have our hearts set on a particular player, I'm gonna be disappointed. We can't fault a coordinator for failing to best utilize his assets and then fall in line behind a GM who runs to the podium without fielding every offer first.

If we had an O-line, we might have had a QB already. It's possible that we will never know because we broke the one we had.
