I hate any play to Thomas in the flat, you need wiggle and burst to get the most out of that play and he has none of that.

Those are in a different category IMO, I'm talking about PI's and holding on the offense and defense, those are calls that bail teams out of long 3rd downs and change the game. The QB hits are going to get called but I'm fine with the way they've been calling the rest. We'll see how it finishes out.

When the games down to less than 5 minutes and it's tight I feel like the refs start calling everything they see.

The refs are letting both sides play, I'm ok with that as long as it stays consistent throughout the game.

I think San Fran is the perfect place for Chase to be, they just need him to be a compliment and not the focus. If he balls out good for him but I dont see any way San Fran gives him a long term deal, it looks like a short term rental.

Josh may have applied pressure but I doubt very seriously he was using his own football acumen to make these decisions. My guess is he has a few football people that explained the pros and the cons and put it on a silver platter for him to make a decision. There's nothing Snyderish about this, it's smart business.

This is an odd situation where you have dead men walking running your $6B franchise and it would be very unsettling for me if I were Josh. This transition is important and Rons already wasted enough assets on poor draft picks and bad free agent acquisitions so forgive me if I could care less about what other teams do or what kind of unwritten etiquette there is across the league. I want my new owner to get involved now because I dont trust the ones who put us in the place we currently are, its that simple.

I dont know why any team would rely on the coach to make these calls from the sideline. This should be a full time job for someone on gameday, the replays are too important to F up.

He started off by saying if you haven't played sports at a high level then you shouldn't talk about it as a profession and you know that was gonna get Grant all hot and bothered but both sides were respectful. I think the elephant in the room was that Chase's dad might listen to Grant's show because to me he seemed like he was talking about Grant without singling him out. The dad in him came out which I understand, he was protecting his son but he claimed that teams won't run to Chase's side and that Chase is like Deion Sanders in that he takes away half the field. There were some good points, some shaky ones, and some fantasy but it was worth a listen.
