  1. While last year's draft generally wasn't looked at well, some of the Rivera era drafts got decent reviews. While I'm making no assumptions, I'm hoping coaching can make a few guys take another level. I expect decent turnover on this team, but I do hope we get more out of some of the guys that remain. Maybe not sudden All-Pro level, but more than recent production.
  2. I think we have a shot at trading back from one of the 2nds like 10 spots since the 1st is highly unlikely. My thought was we'd get a 3rd, but maybe we should do several trades and stockpile 5ths. Haha He nails it and people still **** about every pick?
  3. SoS matches on that last shot. You don't think they could jump over Commanders?
  4. Yeah it does. Do we get a half star for a tie? I see that as a real possibility at this point. Haha
  5. https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/philadelphia-eagles-devonta-smith-nick-sirianni-consider-resting-players-new-york-giants IDK, just what I'm seeing. They likely don't expect Commanders to put up a good fight and are weighing the risk for this game. For a team that has lost 4 of 5, that reduced hope could be enough to give the Giants more of a chance than the stat sheet comparison would suggest. edit: seeing the veterans not playing talk above, once inactive lists are made official for the Commanders, that could cause the Eagles to sit more. It would be interesting to see how they play it.
  6. With current SoS that would be the case. Eagles talking about resting guys, I think that could give the Giants a chance. I'll add them to the winner wish list.
  7. So, I see some notes that lose and Arizona can't draft ahead of us. This is true, but if they win (and Patriots) we would pick second in every round. Not as big of a deal as the 1st round, but at this point I want it all.
  8. With Murray a tough cut, they may want MHJ. While not ideal, it doesn't take them out of range to get him. So maybe just a little pissed. Haha
  9. Correct, they control their own destiny with a win.
  10. Eagles L counts as double for us. That should help draft pick and SoS.
  11. The SoS is against all opponents. So if we have 4 uncommon opponents. The 2 commanders played win week 18 and the Patriots both lose, their SoS drops and they likely get the tiebreaker.
  12. While I get some here are 100% draft qb and some 100% trade down. I just hope we get a solid gm/coach combo that has a plan we can see. Elias for the Orioles was frustrating at times, but I could see the plan in action. It's been so long idk what it'll look like, but I hope to see it soon.
  13. Ad nauseum. But since all threads will die in QB talk until we have a slam dunk, this is a fantastic auto correct.
  14. I don't get McClaurin. It's not great throws but he's missed a few catchable balls lately.
  15. June 1st cuts shift savings into year one, but nothing is available until June 1st, so it doesn't help during main spending phase of free agency 2024. It can offer more cap flexibility during the season or be useful for extensions later in the summer for current players. Then anything left over in 2024 still rolls over to 2025. Ultimately, I don't think it makes much of a "damn the future" approach due to the timing of things.
  16. If Pats/Cards win one each, we'd pick 2nd in the 2nd round if your scenario doesn't quite come true here. With Carolina picking for the first time, I see them picking need, which should give us a borderline 1st round player, or make a solid trade option if we stay put in Round 1.
