  1. Maybe the waiver is easy 99% of the time, but if I'm a questionable owner that doesn't want to vote Snyder out and set the precedent for other owners to get voted out, wouldn't it be infinitely easier to block his path vs continue this **** show? At this point, if they really want him gone, I feel like this is an easy path to make it painful for Snyder. Owners having a future waiver rejected is far less painful then getting voted out.
  2. So with all this talk back and forth between buyers and sellers, the fact that only Washington post guys heard this, but it's guys that generally have solid things, what if Synder planted with them so he can call out Bezos as trying to force a sale and justify to other owners he won't sell to him. Either way, just sell and go away.
  3. Absolutely. If he were to leave it'd be for a place that is ready to win. Unfortunately I don't see washington as his first pick.
  4. I think David is one void year left. So he appears on the cap but I think he's a FA too. He signed after the SB win, when things were seemingly going well. I'd guess he's more likely to look around now.
  5. Yeah, that was my thought for why to not do it. For the cap position their in it may have been worth asking him (which maybe they did). Rams, Saints and Bucs have messy caps. With Brady going all 3 look sub par as built with little wiggle room. It'll be interesting to see how they manage.
  6. I looked at the Rams roster to see good trade targets and they have some weird cap issues. Top 7 players are 10+ cap hits (Kupp up to 27.8mill), but no player on the roster would save more than 3.9mill because of how they structured deals. Trades save a bit more, but they really are going to have some interesting moves to get even with the cap (or more weird structuring). Wagner roster bonus would have transferred to a traded team based on payment date (I think). Would have saved them another 3.5mill. I wonder if they tried to trade him first. I would have tossed them a 6th to get Wagner and they save a bit more. I don't think he's coming here on his own. But i guess it's too late for that.
  7. Last year all the rumors were he wanted to stay west coast, right? Sportrac lists as 5yr/50 mill. 10 mill guaranteed at signing. 11 mill of roster bonuses (he won't see) 2023 salary guaranteed 3/19 (didn't trigger). 4 mill bonus escalates forward. They list 7.5 mill cap hit, but without salary guarantee triggering I feel like it should only be 4mill hit. Maybe I'm missing something. Edit:link https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-angeles-rams/bobby-wagner-9857/ Edit 2: It was bothering me so I looked again. The 2023 roster bonus guaranteed last year I April (I was reading as triggered 2023). With that 3.5 mill added its 7.5 mill (4mill + 3.5mill). Still not a bad hit when first look was 5/50.
  8. Agreed. But I also want to be released based on time served....
  9. So mentioned in the article the field was a mess. It's great that he played well in SB, but both defenses looked weak compared to regular season (although both played great offense too...) OL help is needed, but I'm not upping my offer much based on that 1 sloppy game.
  10. I like EB on paper, but I'm hardly educated on how he will improve this team outside of what articles tell me. I think there is very good reason to believe he will be a good hire. I'll get slightly more excited when we add some solid OL. Synder is still the domino to really get excited and feel good about the offseason. So good hire, but excitement pending.
  11. Synder gone is definitely a great offseason, but if we skip out on FA due to timing that will take some of the fun out of it. I mean, it's just this year so I'll get over it.
  12. The only other thought I have is he isn't getting promotion calls because other teams think Reid/Mahomes is the prime reason for his success. Showing out with Washington, a team that hasn't been doing well would answer those questions. A team that has several decent weapons and should have a strong focus on OL to support the biggest concerns. If his goal is HC and he can prove he can do without Reid, than he probably only wants one year anyway. Not saying it's the likeliest answer, but best case for him he crushes things and gets promotion. Worst case it goes poorly and he can likely point to washington dysfunction for at least another oc shot.
  13. I never said a thing about draft pick... Edit: I'm in no way sad that they won. I wanted to see more Howell. That's all.
  14. They both have weaker strengths of schedule. I think that's worse for us. I think that could move us to 17... but I'm not sure.
  15. Seattle just won. I think we're 16 officially. But maybe I'm missing one. Edit: we just don't yet know which of gb/lions will jump ahead of us.
  16. Pfft. Let's not pretend like we didn't all hate losing to the Giants this year too. **** the cowboys, giants and eagles.
  17. I'm not talking about a 4th down. I was talking about 2 after the td. So idk what to say there. Dallas is in the playoffs and we're not. I don't want consolation prizes. I want to have an idea of how we get to the playoffs next year. I'm happy we're leaving them sad and frustrated, but this team has been nothing but consolation prizes for years. **** that. I want a team that not only makes the playoffs, but does it with a winning record and more than a few lucky wins.
  18. I don't think it matters, but I get why you do. But playing to see Howell is more important and doesn't stop them from winning.
  19. I think staying healthy and looking this bad all game will mentally mess them up. I how they're healthy and have no excuses.
  20. Slye has missed 3 kicks. Going for 2 with Howell doesn't give the game away. You suggested going for 2 means they won't beat Dallas. Tha **** you talking about
  21. Going for 2 doesn't cost us the game.... Pretending Slye is close to automatic.... Nothing means they aren't still trying to win.
  22. This should be a Howell film session. The game doesn't matter. Not to mention Dallas doesn't seem to care much on offense
  23. Probably would have gotten him in 2nd/3rd if we didn't make the trade. Probably still better...
