  1. If every pan European law or system that was "inadequate" was judged illegal there would not be that many left on the books ....

Articles 63 to 66 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), supplemented by Articles 75 and 215 TFEU (cocerning the penalties) prohibit obstructing the free movement of capital within the EU and that, even for a third country (Qatar in this case).

  2. Financial fairplay sued

Lawyer Maître Jean-Louis Dupont (the same lawyer who initiated the Bosman judgement) leads a lawsuit before the European Commission and the Court of First Instance of Brussels to invalidate the system.

"This system is inadequate and, hence, illegal under European law," he judged. According to him, the financial fair play creates the following restrictions of competition: limiting investments and the structure of existing competition, fewer transfers, their amounts and the number of players under contract by the club, deflationary pressure of the players wages.

  3. PSG laying the wood to Chelsea

PSG might be a dark horse to win the Cup this year

It might, eventhough they lost Ibracadabra for a few weeks. He has never done anything significant in the ultimate stages of the champions League, and Cavani will be back now playing his favorite position on the field.

PSG has the lead, nothing is granted, they now shall finish the job and avoid being over confident.

Both PSG goals were scored by the two "busts" Lavezzi and Pastore.

  4. I thought the ban was on transferring in and transferring out players. I think this will effect a lot of young players who want to get first team football somewhere else. Will they be able to loan players either in or out?

They are allowed to sell players. They can take advantage of the flaws of this ban, signing free players or use loans.

  5. That is a HUGE blow to Barca. They need to replace their keeper and need a centre half as well. It will test their depth and youth system (which might not be a bad thing in the long run).

Imagine on top of that Messi agreeing with PSG on the €30 millions/year NET over 5 years contract. That would definitely seal the fate of Barça ;)

  6. Barcelona Rocked by 14-month Fifa Transfer Ban After Breaching Under-18 Player Rules

"Barcelona have been hit with a 14-month transfer ban after Fifa ruled the club have fielded 10 ineligible youngsters.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee ruled the Catalan giants registered and fielded non- Spanish players between 2009 and 2013 and will not be allowed to participate in the transfer market for two windows.

The committee said Barcelona had breached article 19 of the of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, which states that international transfers of players are only permitted if the player is over the age of 18..............."

  7. According to the Daily Star the selection of coaches to replace Wenger : Jürgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund), Roberto Martinez (Everton), Brendan Rodgers (Liverpool) and Steve Bould.

  8. If i was that rich I'd buy them just to have an excuse to live there.

Thanks a lot apreciated. Believe me it's a shame to have to admit it but it's not much fun living in France right now as it used to be. No I'm not going to talk politics here ;)

  9. Could you imagine if PSG did sign Messi? Would they even bother making out a schedule for Ligue 1? That team would be very impressive...

I will believe it when I'll see it ;) Only Rybolovlev (Monaco) has the financial power to contest PSG supremacy. By the way Falcao is doing very well in his rehab, he's even expect to be cleared for the next WC. Unbelievable since he tore his ACL on Jan. 22nd. ! He was treated in an hyperbaric chamber to accelerate the therapy.

MLD said she won't sell Marseille but the team is in chaos right now and another powerful owner would make la ligue 1 interesting, and would save it at the same time.

Edit: each PSG player will get a €1 million bonus if team wins the Champions League.

  10. As much as I like Arsène he'll never get it done at the next level, he always failed during european cups (Monaco and Arsenal). He is stubborn playing too many french players who can't raise their level of play and have never done anything significant vs the top european clubs. Look at FC Bayern they always had a few but very talented french players (Papin, Liza, Sagnol, Ribery) and they won.

  11. I would be shocked if he didn't work it out with Barca.

So will I, maybe it is just his agent playing who's gonna blink first.

FIFA agent Gallardo said on El Chiringuito TV that Messi won't be playing for Barca next season.

""I maintain that Messi will not be at Barca next season. There are several explanations for this. First, many betrayals from the front office I will explain later. Then the club cannot  pay him what he wants because its economic situation is in chaos. Should be a miracle but I do not believe it. I also maintain that the offer comes from PSG, who wants to sign him for €30 million euros net per year."

Messi is looking for a 5 years contract worth €250 millions.

He is upset because Neymar is making more than him and that the club rejected his request for a raise last November.

Barca will also have to pay the renovation of Camp Nou.

  12. So that's United saying bye bye ha ha.

I'd favour Barca, Madrid, Munich and sadly Chelsea to be in the semis.

Should all be tight games bar the Bayern ass kicking. - :)

    Hail.

I strongly disagree my Scouser friend I expect PSG to kick the crap out of the Mou and Torres :P:D

I expect a boring defensive game from the Blues, and Ibracadabra to unlock the situation.

  13. Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness sentenced to 3 1/2 years in jail for tax fraud worth €27 millions. The same guy that was criticizing PSG about financial fairplay, LOL.

  14. (No offense FF to you on a fellow Countryman, but that's being polite on him.).

    Hail.

None taken my friend, you know my opinion about him, he was among the greatests as a player but a very lousy president of uefa.

At least Giroud has a good taste don't you think ?
