  1. We had a couple of world cup qualifying great breathtaking games. Germany vs Sweden, the Germans leading 4-0 before I witnessed one of the greatest come back ever with the Swedes scoring 4 goals in 30 minutes to escape with a tie.

Spain vs France 1-1, who could have thought about this outcome ? LLoris was outstanding saving a penalty kick and the house quite a few times. Ribery and Benzema finally played in tune, Giroud (which has been a one year wonder so far) scored the equalizer in extra time (90+4). We could have won it, but the ref called Benzema offside (while replay shows he wasn't) on the goal by Menez.

  2. FrF,

You ROCK man! Just as I'd given up hope for this this thread today to be anything less than frustratingly stupid, you change the pace completely and put a big ass smile on my face. :pfft:

    Hail.

Since your favorite team is in turmoil, I felt I had to do something for you man. ;)

  3. Woeful display, capped by yet another Reina **** up. Three in a week to add to the back end of last year.

    Hail.

Told you weeks ago, Liverpool should have signed Lloris.

  4. Just the man FF.

You guys are asses for questioning the British cycling success. You bitter, bitter French people.

*Nottin' personal man. Just saying. :pfft:

    Hail.

I never ever cared about cycling they are all on roids, Aicar, peds, and whatever. ;)

What french journalists are pissed about is the cheating from Great Britain vs us in indoor cycling when they simulated a fall to get a restart, same thing in rowing too. Quite a shocker, since you're reputation in France is fairplay and sportsmanship.

Last time I heard, and as I said previously I don't care about cycling, there was something going on with the rear wheel of the british bikes from Mavic. Can't give you much details about it.

  5. Milan couldn't afford the transfer fee and his wages. ;)

    Hail.

That's what most of the people said about Thiago Silva, Milan couldn't afford the raise he was asking, today he re-signed with Milan up to 2017. ;) PSG offered €46 millions for Silva, Berlusconi said no way, he is a trickster.

  6. Bienvenue a Emirates, Golivier.

Arsenal making a move to sign Hugo Lloris, that would be a great deal, this GK gets better every year. It is also believed that Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested. Arsenal rejected an offer from Juventus for RVP.

  7. Some fans sad not to participate in the Euro 2012 festivities, had the original idea of selling their services. The highest bidder wins the right to be so supported by this group of Red Devils.

The message of Belgian fans is: "Sale of Belgian fans in new condition no longer served since the 2002 World Cup. We will watch the games, will carry the colors, maybe even buy us flag. We will also learn the national anthem. Photos and videos will be taken and sent to the winning bidder. A slight hooliganism is available at extra cost. We can, for example, launch a pigeon or smoke in a non-smoking area if it pleases to our buyer.

Once the team is eliminated, we will weep for 24 hours, then we will get back on eBay. All proceeds will be sent directly to Unicef. "

  8. Germany was my early favorite, now I'm pondering since the champions league final. Germany has eight players from FC Bayern, I'm wondering if they can mentally get over this loss. As for group D, I can't separate one from another, I think all these teams are average, they can all advance, anything can happen. Our chances are no better than the others, since we don't have any true leader on the field, our defense sucks, and forward we're relying on individual performances from Benzema and Ribery. Physical condition may be an important factor here.

About UEFA, Platini is ridiculous, rejecting instant replay and letting Ukraine hosting the competition, what a shame. Football needs to get rid of him and Blatter.

  9. So Chelsea today confirmed what Eden Hazard tweeted the other week. The Belgian is joining them for a fee believed to be around $ 49 million, with his weekly wages around $ 261 K. (Nice work if you can get it in the lunacy of the EPL.).

The grand total will be £90 millions ($140 millions), assuming he will play 5 years for Chelsea. The number is including the transfer fee ($50 millions), his base salary for 5 years ($81 millions), and his agent fee ($9 millions).

GHH who's your favorite for the next Euro ? Russia will be my favorite underdog team.

  10. You guys should play championships such as copa libertadores, copa america, that will give you the best boost. I'm sure you have enough young willing talented players. Your national championship being the graveyard of foreign over the hill players won't help (except for business) as much as playing the best teams of conmebol.

  11. He's too loyal to Chelsea. I seen those same rumors about him going to Barcelona, but I think he'll come back to Chelsea.

Today he told his teammates he's leaving, he didn't tell his future destination. Rumors saying he'll play in China.

  12. Chelsea: luckiest team in soccer history.

I think they had a little bit of luck but they came with a game plan: catenaccio. They got what they were looking for, generating frustration from the Germans. 64% domination, almost 40 shots on goals (mostly out of range) and 20 corners.

Heynckes let Robben kick the penalty, a costly mistake. Robben was totally shut down by Chelsea's defense, the guy is so predictable when he keeps on starting on the right side, runs towards the left and kicks the ball when reaching the middle of the box. He was probably the most frustrated player, that's why I wouldn't have let him kick the penalty. Last but not least, Heynckes didn't tell his players to kick their PK on Cech's right side when it was so obvious he kept on diving left (penalty and PKs). Overall I think it was more about Bayern losing than Chelsea winning.

Now Löw will have to deal with 8 frustrated and demoralized players, not the best way to get ready for the Euro.

  13. Not a diehard soccer fan or anything, but that game was amazing.

EDIT: Why is Drogba leaving Chelsea? Contract up? Where's he going?

Rumors had him signing for Barcelona, but he strongly denied it. Now I think he might re-sign with Chelsea.
