  1. I’m at a loss with Dotson. Dude is great and I gather he has the best hands on the team so the drops are inexplicable. But I have a lot of faith in him - when I say I’m at a loss I mean with his lack of production this year - Paulsen was super high on him and his route running as exceptional - better than Terry. AND several folks emphasized the connection sam had with him in camp. They strongly believed he would lead the team in receptions even if Terry outpaced him in yards. Add in that his precision route running and understanding of how/when to throttle up/down in breaks fit perfectly in EB’s scheme and it’s just perplexing. I feel like we should use him similar to how the bills use diggs if you watched last night. Great on short and intermediate routes and can get yac. I’m not even remotely out on him and still elated we got him (admittedly I was confused at the time we took him). But for the life of me I cannot understand the lack of targets/usage and especially the drops. I think he’ll have his games before the year is out. Part of what is so shocking to me is the lack of separation our receivers get leading to plenty of sacks. Maybe EB is calling more downfield shots, especially at end of halves when we take a lot of the sacks. But Dotson with his route running is a guy that excels at getting separation and quickly (he did last year, was close to the lead league in that category and just winning repeatedly on routes). It just doesn’t add up so I’m still expecting production sooner than later.
  2. Eh, again I guess I just don’t really care. Words don’t mean anything to me. If the team goes out and performs then the coaches are doing their jobs. If not, then I’m disappointed. It doesn’t make much difference to me what they say in the media. And to a certain extent they’re not wrong. The better sam gets and the more experience, it’s likely the line and whole operation will look better. It’s hard to ignore the lack of sacks down in Houston with all their line injuries, for example.
  3. I think those are fair responses I’m just kinda pointing out that I don’t think it really matter a what he says people are gonna give him ****. Even in there is the “young” argument which most of our guys have been around a bit. And still doesn’t explain the draft decisions. I guess my point is there were obvious holes in the off-season execution and while Ron clearly isn’t the most well spoken guy I don’t know that there is much he can say to assuage our concerns. We know what it is. We know strom should be starting sooner than later for gates. That Wylie is awful and Lucas should probably get a shot. That quan is working but once again they’re probably outsmarting themselves asking him to learn 6 positions rather than just be good at one thing, etc. These things are kinda obvious to us, thus why we **** about it on here. Being mad about Ron’s pressers I think is just another Avenue to **** about him but really none of us care as long as the talent we have is performing as they should. It’s not so we are just ****ing about everything.
  4. So my question remains, what would you have him say that would satisfy you? The line stinks and the rookies aren’t on the field. What is he supposed to say?
  5. Not even trying to defend ron in general but what exactly do you want or expect him to say? Yeah we bombed addressing the oline this off-season and wish we’d drafted different players? I’m just trying to figure out what response would satisfy folks while at the same time isn’t throwing either players or organization members under the bus which also isn’t helpful. Coach speak is frustrating but I don’t really know what people are looking for here.
  6. Lmao this is funny to me because he didn’t even understand the question. She was clearly asking about keeping the starters out and throwing the ball after it was over down to the wire and risking injury and trying to let Sam get more reps overall and in two minute. I wasn’t mad at their choice to do so, but this cracks me up that Ron didn’t even understand a simple question. OR I could be the idiot and this is what she meant lol He needs to. But for the life of me why not play him inside and let BSJ play outside full time. He may be marginally better than Johnson inside but Johnson is not the guy I want outside on a guy like Moore. Not that anyone in our secondary could stop anyone or play the right coverage last night anyway.
  7. Dude every time Thomas fights forever for a couple yards I worry about that. And that’s why. Just ****ing go down.
  8. I guess the bears heard Caleb Williams doesn’t want to play for them
  9. If there is one thing that DOES shock me it’s Howell on some of these deep balls. He’s such a good deep ball thrower and accurate too I’m really surprised he missed McLaurin last week and Brown’s was even worse this week.
  10. I’m the dumbest person on earth for starting our defense in ff. Well, after JDR and basically anyone associated with our defense anyway.
  11. What a trash spot Thomas clearly reached out for the first down! Coulda called that trash play after that.
  12. Don’t think they’d scored a single point opening drive all year.
  13. Holy ****ing ****. We let the worst passing qb in the league that can’t read a defense obliterate us. On 3rd and 14.
  14. Fuller’s shoulda been defensive holding then st juste gets smoked. No pressure on either play. Shocker.
  15. Jahan dropping that third down killed us.
