  1. I am counting down the days until the "how good is Roy Halladay?" talks to start. Now that he is pitching for Philly, he might actually get noticed for being the best pitcher in baseball.

I predict by mid season, baseball writers will start debating if Roy should win the NL Cy Young AND MVP. Probably won't happen, but people will be talking about it.

Halladay is amazing. I would be shocked if he doesn't win at least 20 games this season.

  2. Yeah and I liked it better that way.. All these titles none kind of dilute what the titles are supposed to represent.

Exactly. I feel like everyone on there has a title now. I see why they brought over the World Heavyweight and the US when they took over WCW. But I think they can get rid of them now. I mean which one is more important, the World Heavyweight or the WWE? Same with US or Intercontinental?

  3. Well, I spread it out so different types of guys would go for different belts.

A guy like Cena or HHH is a heavyweight......the smaller dudes like Rey are Cruiserweights. Then you have a bunch of middle dudes like Matt Hardy who would be Middleweights.

You could put the middleweights in the intercontinental group and the cruiserweights for the US title. Back in the day wasn't there only the WWF Champ and the Intercontinental?

  4. I've decided Sam Adams Noble Pils is the best seasonal Sam Adams beer I've had. Even better than Winter Lager. Just my opinion obviously, but it's pretty damn good.

I was really impressed with it. Still don't know if its on the same level as Octoberfest and Winter Lager. But maybe I just haven't had enought yet to find out! :pint:

  5. Picked up the Sam Adams Brewmaster's variety pack for Spring.

It has Boston Lager, Boston Ale, Noble Pils, Coastal Wheat, Cream Stout, and Scotch Ale.

Nobil Pils is a new beer for Spring. It was pretty good. A little hoppy, but not bad at all.

Coastal Wheat is probably my favorite of the bunch. A little lemon flavor and very good.

Scotch Ale was horrible. It has a smokey flavor to it and its disgusting. I guess if you like Scotch you might like it, but it wasn't for me.

I haven't tried the Cream Stout yet, that'll be for tonight!

  6. Is Clipper City Pale Ale any good? I'd love to go on a field trip, it's been like 10 years. But in the mean time I could pick up a 6'er.

Yes it is. Its the only one I've had from Clipper City and I loved it.

  7. That is crazy. Did the taxi driver take the fastest route? You have to be careful with the taxi drivers in Baltimore. I have had to correct a couple of them before. The taxi ride isn't bad from my house since I live right off of Eastern Ave.

Yeah we went right up 83 so its not like we sat at traffic lights. I can't remember the last time I've taken a cab downtown and not paid at least $30

  8. Max's is awesome. It is trouble though. I keep seeing beers that I want to try and it gets expensive. I live in Canton, so it is a short taxi ride to get there.

Yeah its definitely not cheap. I live in North Baltimore so a cab ride isn't as cheap lol. I think when we went down there a few weeks ago it was like $40 for a cab ride one way. Its insane! But Max's does have a great selection!

  9. I believe it.

Max's has a great selection, and we live about 15-20 minutes away, but we seldom go there. Parking and the whole downtown scene is kind of a hassle.

What's sad is that grocery stores in CA have a better selection of craft brews than many local liquor stores.

For my fellow beer lovers, (and those who live nearby), we ought to organize a "field trip" to the Clipper City Brewery for one of their tours. They're relatively close, (exit 9 off of the Baltimore beltway). They offer two tours every Saturday. The tours are free or $5.00 if you want a pint glass and 6 samples. They're typically entertaining, informative and fun.

I'll be tied up over the next few Saturdays, but if any of you guys are up for it, shoot me a PM and I'll get all of the info and throw it together. I think that if we get enough interest, (10+ people maybe?), that we can get a private tour.

I love Max's. I'm actually going down there this Saturday!
