  1. The 2 helmet thing is dumb. Look at Wes Welker. He had a concussion and switched helmets. I remember listening to Cooley talk about this during the season and basically say the players switch helmets during the season all the time. Especially during games if something goes wrong with their current helmet. Why the NFL is so against throwbacks I have no idea. Every other league has embrassed it except the NFL. MLB, NBA and the NHL do a good job marketing their throwback gear and allowing teams to wear it. Why the money hungry NFL doesn't, I have no idea.
  2. One of my friends just got a job at Flying Dog! Tried some Sam Adam's Cold Snap over the weekend. Wow is that good.
  3. I keep seeing on PWMania that it's not a work. Apparently his contract expires in July
  4. Punk leaving? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1940437-report-cm-punk-quits-wwe-removed-from-live-events#articles/1940437-report-cm-punk-quits-wwe-removed-from-live-events
  5. Please, oh please, let him call football games lol
  6. Well those walls would be good for strawberry milk stains at least
  7. Did a nice weekend project for the wife. Added a chalkboard calendar in our kitchen. Looks like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/63774260/chalkboard-wall-calendar-with-memo-vinyl Was really simple to do. Just need a quart of chalkboard paint, nylon paint brush, regular painters tape, and 1/4" painters tape.
  8. http://www.uproxx.com/sports/2014/01/heres-first-look-wwe-networks-upcoming-show-legends-house/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+uproxx%2Ffeatures+%28Uproxx%29 If Hacksaw Jim Dugan doesn't carry around a 2x4 all the time, I'm going to be extremely disappointed. This seems like Gallen's dream show.
  9. Well the thing is, maybe it would inspire networks to come up with their own shows? I bet there's a lot of networks/leagues looking at the WWE and seeing what will happen. The smartest thing the WWE did was require a 6-month commitment. This prevents people from just paying $10/month to watch Wrestlemania and then cancel. I saw that last year, the WWE had a million people buy Wrestlemania. So if they can get a million people to sign up for this, they will be raking in the money. You're basically paying $120/yr, which is what the cost of 2-3 PPVs? I can't think of any reason a WWE fan wouldn't sign up for it.
  10. I'm not a huge WWE fan anymore, but this might be something I buy just to support the idea. If other leagues see this model is working, maybe we can enact some change?
  11. Wonder if it'll have old RAWs/Smackdowns/Nitro/etc? Which is totally genius. Wonder if we'll see any other sport leagues try something like this? Can you imagine how many people would pay for an NFL/MLB/NBA/NHL package like this??
  12. Really isn't a bad deal at all for those die-hard fans. PPVs for $10?! Just either hook up your computer to your TV or get Chromecast and stream it to your TV.
  13. Here's the link to read more about it: http://www.theverge.com/2014/1/8/5289714/wwe-launching-24-7-subscription-network-to-bring-wrestling-to-your
  14. I tried Heavy Seas Gold over the weekend. Really good ale. Haven't seen it before, definitely worth the try.
  15. See the Sam Adam's has a new Spring beer coming out called Cold Snap. I'll have to try some.
  16. I didn't mean it to come off as the NBA looking out for the NCAA. I don't think that was is the NBA's intention at all. I just think that if they go with this new lottery method, one of the unintended results could be an improvement to the college game. I don't think the NBA needs to worry about the NCAA at all.
  17. Yup definitetly. I guess in a way, the "wheel" would help improve college bball since the underclassmen would only come out if the top teams had the early picks. Why come out early and go to a crap team when you can stay that extra year and go to a contender and still get top pick money?
  18. I think a part of this people aren't talking about is how this would influence underclassmen to come out. If say Miami had the 1st pick, would we see more guys come out early as opposed to when Toronto has the 1st pick? Guys would pretty much know where their going and could just choose to stay in school an extra year instead of going to a crap team.
  19. Seems crazy, but is the cover of this a little foreshadowing? http://www.uproxx.com/sports/2013/12/scooby-doo-wrestlemania-mystery-trailer-guess-gets-champion/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+uproxx%2Ffeatures+%28Uproxx%29 Look who is in the background holding the belt...
  20. Definitely had high hopes when I tried it a couple months ago. Was definitely disappointed. I dunno what it was, but it didn't taste like beer.
  21. So group H has #2, #5, #14 and #24 in the FIFA rankings. Awesome.
  22. So, is it worth even sending them down there?
