  1. Looking at who is left available and might last until the 5th - some really good RB talent left Bucky Irving - possibly the best receiving back in the draft. He’s small but will be someone to develop as a 3rd down type. Successor to Ekler Audric Estime - volume back with size. Lacks a top gear but does everything else really well. Cover for Robinson and might end up better. Will Shipley - a bit like Irving a guy who will probably catch more balls than have carries in the NFL but maybe a better runner between the tackles than Irving.
  2. I did not have a DT on my bingo card. Very good player but it’s already a position of strength. I guess the days of us picking for need are behind us - which is not a bad thing.
  3. Pick should he be DeJean. Too much value at a position of need to pass up.
  4. Mitchell is who I was thinking of for them. Let’s see!
  5. Keon Coleman. Well I was right about it being a receiver - but surprised they went this route. His lack of speed would concern me - can he separate?
  6. Patriots have NOTHING on O. I think they have to go WR.
  7. I was thinking McConkey and Mitchell top two. Bills and Patriots (especially Patriots) need WRs.
  8. I’d be very very happy to walk out of this 2nd round with McConkey and Beebe. Got a feeling though McConkey will got in the first two picks. I can see them both the top two picks being WR which would drop DeJean to us - which would be a steal.
  9. I was thinking more three strikes and your out!
  10. It’s not the most complicated sport to pick up … or put down.
  11. And yet here you are. It’s fine to have doubts about the pick. OK to be negative about it. If all you do is one line drive by posts that just poke at people happy with the pick you drift into trolling. Which is not permitted. EDIT. I see Jumbo already gave you the same warning. There is probably a baseball analogy that could be used here.
  12. So much can happen with injuries and we have 6 rounds of draft and another wave of free agency. Impossible to project really - but wins is not how this season should be judged anyway. It’s all about the development of Daniels. All that said I would say the Panthers, Patriots, Titans, Raiders, Giants, Broncos and Cardinals are in worse shape than us. I would add the Jets if Rodger’s can’t come back from the achilees or gets carried away in the rapture …
  13. I would take Fisher from that list first at OT followed by Suamataia. Beebe might be the best overall player of the bunch. People will pick Beebe apart because he's not a great mover and has short arms. But he's plug and play at LG and will bench press DTs in the run game and stone wall rushers in pass pro.
  14. So we are guaranteed a pick of one of DeJean. McKinstry or McConkey with our first 2nd rounder. I would be happy with any of those. Actually add Edgerrin Cooper to that list as well. Given a choice from that list I would take McConkey.
  15. When did being 28 at WR = past your prime?? Im not in favor or trading for a vet receiver either but 28 is absolutely in the prime years for a receiver. There is at least another 4-5 years of premium production if you get lucky with injuries.
  16. Today is a big day. This is were the GM and his staff earn their salaries. If things go well we are about to draft the core of our team for the next 5-7 years.
  17. I think it will be Kool-Aid as well. I’d be happy with that pick. I would be OK with Beebe with our later 2nd. People will scream it’s a reach for need but will forget all about that when he is plug and play at or around Pro Bowl level for the next decade.
  18. Lucas is serviceable and there will be a new wave of free agency plus cuts late in camp. I agree though that both OT spots are a concern right now. Reaching for needs bites you - it was one of Ron’s faults.
  19. Value at the top of the second is looking like CB. One of DeJean or McKinstry should be there. Also Cooper at LB is a nice option. Im hoping though that we get McConkey. He can play outside but I’d use him more inside - plug him in the slot and he’s an 80+ catch a season guy.
  20. True but I think 6 QBs going so early is inevitably pushing talent down. Top of the 2nd is going to be stacked with defensive players available at great value - just don’t think we will still be picking there, expect us to trade up back into the first for an OT.
  21. 13 straight offensive picks. Some defensive talent is falling.
  22. Bo Nix at 12 feels like a reach for a team that just had to have a QB.
  23. Wow - Penix at #8! McCarthy in play for the Vikings now at #11?
