I mean, the offers must have been terrible if that's the best we can do.

It can be both disappointing and illuminating. As in, the NFL really doesn't think much of him and so that deal is probably one to be happy with.

You know how it goes. He will go to SF and light it up. He will probably be in the Pro Bowl conversation. That is how it usually goes for us. But this is the END of the Snyder era.  Gut the FO, say goodbye to Del Taco and Rivera, and move on. We desperately need a solid GM.

  2. See these are the types of games the Commando's win.  And they have proven they can play the Eagles fairly tight.  The public will be all over the Eagles.  Magically our D line will perform better than they have all year causing Hurts to throw a couple of uncharacteristic INT's, something he has already done this year prior to yesterday's game.  Might be Forbes 1st pick 6.   And miraculously EB will adjust and call more slants, screens, and Sam will look vastly improved, as RR gloats over the "young man's quick learning curve."   And Dotson will catch the game winner and cry in his post-game interview.  And us fans will be drawn back in until the next game.

    24 - Commanders

    17 - Eagles

Yeah that is a real truth bomb.  I like Sam Howell.  This is hellish what he is being put through as essentially a rookie QB, by the worst O line I have ever seen.  The O line does not protect him. He has no time to decipher anything and I think this will come out this week, as the emotions die down and people watch the tape.  The Giants at will were coming at him from the edges, up the middle, unabated the entire first half.  And the continual stuck on stupid calls by EB were maddening. No screens, slants, to get the ball out quicker. I think Howell has a place in the league and I am rooting for him.

I just don't see how Ron is going to take us to the promised land.   He makes some good moves.  He makes some good picks.  But he doesn't strike me special at his job.  He doesn't seem to have a sense of urgency.  As far as QBs hopefully Sam is the guy.  Otherwise I am not sure i trust this regime to find that next guy -- and that's not because I think they are bad at their job, its because I think they are just OK..

Very solid points about Ron. Some of his egoic statements surprised me until I thought about it some more.  For example, and I am paraphrasing here, that they could fire him and then they could send him his super bowl ring, next year, when they win or something to that effect.  And then of course we have Sideline Stoic Ron.  It looks like a bit of a contradiction to people.  But isn't it really the same Ron. He chose his DC and his OC.  And I think he views them as extensions of himself because he chose them.  One of things I was wondering about the other day is does he make the choice any longer to "go for it" and play Riverboat or is he leaving that decision to EB as his OC and Assistant Head Coach?

My main question is when it comes to the GM category who could build this team properly, who comes to mind? What is the talent pool available? Would we have to lure a GM away from a current team?  Could we do that?

That looked to be the case in the previous game where they appeared to purposely holding their ground to prevent Hurts from taking off. Thursday they appeared to be trying to get to Fields and rarely got close, that is far more concerning to me especially given the quality of that OL.

I just look at the lack of sacks and watch how the defensive ends try to contain running QB's like Fields and Hurts, by trying to contain the edges, and force these running QB's towards the middle of the field. If they rush hard, I have noticed more times than not, the QB gets out of the pocket and a big play occurs.  I just think if we HAD good LB's they would be the ones coming up on say a Fields or Hurts as he gets out of the pocket OR assist on the pass rush or blitz.  I am not 100% sure Del Rio fully trusts the D.

It may be time for some personnel changes. Hudson deserves a shot to start. Barton is no sacred cow. Forbes needs to sit for a few games to get his mind right and we should let DJ be the nickel with BSJ and Fuller on the outside

Yeah, because it is evident to me that Del Rio does not trust this D overall, and would you trust your secondary at this point? Even if he did help put it together it is not working.  And I agree about Forbes, but they also have to let him get his lumps so he improves. I am not giving up on him yet, and as others have pointed out, he may need a certain scheme to be effective.
