Thomas is a hero for taking that hit and still keeping the ball, but I don't recall teams playing so dirty against us last season. Did something change?

Do you remember when Williams was the DC and Payton was his HC and Williams was suspended for putting bounties out on other players? Payton acted like he did not know it was happening. Sure. This shows me what a douche Payton is.

Every team is finding success running inside and outside. Our teams is either slow or can’t figure out the concept. Del Rio needs to be on the hot seat.

For years. Not just this year. In fact I am surprised when teams are having so much success against us with the run and THEY abandon it.  Just looks very familiar right now, Hopefully we will score.

  3. I am not saying the O line was flawless, they were definitely to blame for some of the issues, but I do not think they are responsible for all the issues.   Logan Thomas dropped a couple of passes early on that hurt momentum. I think they should have used Robinson more in the beginning of the game to open things up a bit, may have been able to take some decent shots downfield. Howell was flushed from the pocket numerous times on Sunday.  As a big Carolina fan, it looked like a flashback from Howell's last year in Carolina. Run for your life or get bulldozed.  I just do not think the O attack was as balanced as it should have been in the 1st half.  I think EB made some decent adjustments at half time and incorporated Robinson in the 2nd half.   I still think this team is capable of 10-7 this year. The talent is there. And I never saw any adjustments by Turner as OC, when things were not working on O.

I mean, has he been that bad? He's had a couple of bad passes, but plenty of good ones. INT was a tipped ball. Fumbled was definitely on him.

I think he looks like what he is: a very talented player who's still very new to the NFL and is starting his 2nd game ever.

That is what I am saying. He is fine. And he is going to have his great moments and a few not so great.  The protection was not great upfront, but the fumble was on him. But like I said you have to admire him coming back and getting a FG.  That might make all the difference in the 2nd half. I like Howell a lot. But he is still, in most regards, a rookie.

Our OL is a mishmash of mehdicrioty but hey the 10 can play different positions.

I have been thinking the same thing. Like okay, we have positional flexibility, but are any of them really good at ONE position? We can move them around, it worked out with Martin, but none of them are All Pro's at any one position.  And meanwhile Philadelphia got better at the tackle position with Jalen Carter, who we can only hope is truly troubled so he is not on the field...lol!

I’ve just had a gut wrenching realization, this dude isn’t selling.

I think he is in too much debt not to, IF everything being reported is correct.  He is just a POS and so contemptuous towards anyone that he feels remotely slighted by, or anyone he believes he is above. So, he will sell, but the drama will drag out probably for a couple of months more.  The strange part for me is that if he is a billion dollars or more in debt, the interest racking up on that debt, should be sufficient motivation to unload as quickly as possible.  But who knows how that is structured. In the end he will take the highest bid and I would not be surprised if Bezos winds up with the team.

I am not sure how successful or unsuccessful EB will be as our play-caller.  I do recall when Scott Turner was hired that I was against hiring him from Day 1.

I am sure Snyder liked the fact that EB's contract with the Chiefs was over.  How many coaches will the owner be willing to add that EB wants to bring to Washington?

I did read that EB was the coach who caught on tape the fact that the Eagles defense could not cover the play they ran twice for touchdowns when the running backs walked

into the end zone untouched by Eagle defenders.  (USA Today article)

You sound cautiously optimistic.  The maddening thing about Turner was that he would have NO success on a play, and not only would he go back to it, sometimes he would go back to it on the very next play.  Yet with EB he saw the Eagles were not covering again a play that they had just run for a TD. I was surprised how open the guy was  the first time. but since the Eagles were in the same exact coverage, the guy was wide open again on the other side.  We desperately need an OC that recognizes coverages, and can adjust. So I am okay with EB hiring and I hope he is fantastic. We have very talented receivers, and he knows how to use talented receivers.

  8. Isn't it possible given that Del Rio was the head coach of the Raiders and Carr was his QB, that he is already lobbying for Carr to be here?  I think Carr is solid and would excel with the weapons we have on O, but I would be disappointed, because I thought it would be great to go with Howell, work on somehow fortifying the O line, and a few other areas NOT tying up a ton of cash in another vet QB.  I just see this as a transition year, and why not get some pieces in place without making a big splash in FA for yet another vet QB.

I think Skoronski is overrated as hell and kind of stinks based on what I've seen. But he is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Duncan. Pass on him unless its a mid round steal/develop pick.

So, who do you think we can pick up and how do we begin to solve our O-Line issues?  Ahhh...I just do not want to go into another year, with an injury prone, poor performing filled O-line.
