Offensive thoughts: The concussions to McKissic and McLaurin hurt more than the COVID stuff on offense. Though, if TH can't go, then you're in deep doo doo at QB due to Kyle Allen being on the COVID list.
Good chance Heinicke can't finish this game. He's gotta be banged up from last week and divisional games are rough in the NFCE.
Could have a practice squad QB taking snaps from a 4th string center.
Yikes.

Reminder we signed Taylor off the street for nothing.
If we had a better option, said QB would be starting.
IMO, the criticism is way off balance. No one is going to say Heinicke had a good game but some of those plays... there are plays where 3-4 linemen are on the ground and there are 3-4 defenders in Taylor's face. There are plays where our C is pushed straight backwards into the QB on ice skates.
And plenty of plays where Heinicke missed the throw, missed the open WR or held onto the ball too long. (and he couldn't finish the game)
Now where the criticism is off-balance is listing Heinicke's obvious limitations but not acknowledging his play-making ability. Spinning out of pressure for the long TD and the 2pt were nice.
But with these divisional games coming up, we'll see some Kyle Allen and he looks healthy. Heinicke is going to be banged up
*sorry on phone and can't use it

This is something I've been trying to wrap my head around as well. Does our playbook not have hot reads? Do we not have any way to beat it when a team brings extra guys like Dallas was doing all day yesterday?
If we do have that baked into the system, why isn't Heinicke hitting them? Is he not seeing the pressure pre-snap? Is he not adjusting protections properly? Is he just not looking at his hot for some odd reason...trying to do too much and not wanting the quick stuff?
Heinicke is still a small QB at 6'1". He can't really sit in the pocket and hit reads. Turner kind of stopped calling screens after the Gregory int in the 1st quarter.
Our offense has to work, as in the motions have to open up throwing lanes for Heinicke to see and throw.

Gibson is simply a huge liability on 3rd downs and worse keeps fumbling the ball.
That's not going to work in the NFL and is every coaches nightmare. Think Olsen was saying in the NFL that's 1 and 2 while actually running the ball is a distant 3rd.
If JD can't play we have to bring in someone that can pickup blitzes on 3rd downs. I understand no RB is going to block Micah Parsons 1 on 1 but Gibson can't be a liability out there.

I had a wrong take.
Even though Rotimi made a big mistake on the pump fake... the D-Line played well. We had 3-4th stringers in there

Cams TD was called incomplete.
Just right there.
Knee in. Elbow in.
Those kind of catches are always called a TD.
Great game though. 1 score game in the end. On to next week.

Going to really enjoy watching Allen for a cpl plays till he throws a pick 6.
Possible fumble return for 6 too.

Cam Sims
It was an underthrown hail mary and Sims made an absolutely amazing catch.
I like what Greg Olsen said at half.
You're going to get to evaluate what players show up in the 2nd half.
Cam Sims should be seeing more targets going forward.

Plays on the field to be made.
Like to see Kyle Allen get in the game. Fresh legs. Heinicke is getting destroyed out there.

Shaka Toney and Rotimi are about to ball out.
Both looked good in action against Denver.
Rotimi was lining up opposite Wirfs and holding his own.

On paper the Cowgirls are almost at full strength and should roll us as we're less healthy and now have players out on protocol. Their offense at full strength has rolled everyone.
But McCarthy giving us bulletin board material is a big mistake. They're still on the road and we're at home. It's a divisional game and anything can happen. Our team is playing with confidence.
Might be small but Pollard hasn't practiced all week and seems unlikely to play. Our D all year has been tough RBs and should give Zeke fits. We can shut down their run game.
Also doesn't make sense, but they'll have Lawrence and Gregory back pushing Parsons back to LB and I think that's a negative. Parsons has been a beast on the line; Gregory isn't upgrade.
I think this game stays close.
50/50 game.
23-17 final score either team.

Trez keeping us in it.
Like to see Neto get some more mins in the 2nd half.

I'm drunk... and love this game.
Win or lose doesn't define the season.
-
Weird game...
Not sure if we should be up 21-7 or losing 14-7.
Honestly feel like we're closer to 21-7.

We're talking Trump and Hillary now?
Christ, ya'll don't see the amazing irony of the vaccine thread turning into the same partisan bull**** that got us here in the first place?

Huge 3 from Holiday.
We'll get some calls in the 4th maybe... hopefully.
Kispert.... Keep shooting.

Gibson might've just cost us the game.

I'm flying on actual Thanksgiving. Hopefully it is not as crowded as it will be the days prior.
Same. Never had issues flying on Thanksgiving personally.
Hopefully this year isn't the exception.
