I’m okay with that, but there is there a steep drop off after the first round this year. Heck you can make a case there is a steep drop off after the first 10 picks. QB’s just aren’t going to fall anymore, the Aaron Rodgers situation nearly 2 decades ago just ain’t going to happen anymore. The QB position is just too valuable.

Well, my point is, giving up the farm for either Stafford/Watson guarantees nothing. We nearly beat the best team in the NFC with player who was out of the league a few weeks back. Neither Stafford/Watson has been to the SB and one hasn’t won a playoff game. No one has explained how Stafford or Watson instantly makes us a SB contender. If either of them have been to the SB, I’d give you that point.

Bust, Really? We almost beat the best team in the NFC with a QB who was studying for finals. Bringing in a vet like Carr is not bad idea. Watson/Stafford or Bust Mentally is when teams overpay like the Rams. Watson guarantees nothing.

Mariota fits the new NFL prototype more, a mobile QB who can extend plays. Carr is more of a pocket passer.

I think he has a point, in the other tweets below that one. The Rams’ are going to lose players to FA, it’s inevitable when any team has a high priced QB. On top of that they traded away 3 high picks that could have filled the gaps of players leaving to FA.

Someone pointed out earlier in this thread, every player in NFL history traded for 2 1st rounders did not work out. Stafford doesn’t have a playoff win.

I kinda hope we get Carr, I just worry we over bid and start trading multiple 1st round picks and it hurts us. I believe every player traded for 2 firsts in NFL history didn’t pan out.
