  1. I'm guessing good coaching helps? I remember our O-line being mediocre back before Gibbs 2.0 and joe bugel turned it around.
  2. Ill take him. I still prefer Allen and Heinckle because we can fill more holes with the cap space.
  3. I’m okay with Allen possibly starting next season; He’s better than a hobbled Smith, decent in the pocket, and made some good throws (the one he had one in the back of end zone he had was phenomenal). We don’t need elite QB play. Atlanta, Minnesota, Detroit, etc really haven’t gotten anywhere with their franchise QB’s. Why? Well, their deals hamstring their organizations with colossal salaries. I’m not saying I wouldn’t take a Ryan or Stafford, but at what cost? He’s not a mobile QB...he’s just not. He’s one of the most sacked QB’s in the league (He’s good in the pocket). Okay, he’s 33 next season, not 35, but he’s not a QB in his 20’s. He’s gotten hammered in Detroit and those hits add up.
  4. That would piss me off. Manning - Luck - Rivers - Stafford. We can’t even get one competent QB for a few seasons. 😕 We should give Rivers a look next season if he doesn’t retire. It would be a cheaper option than Stafford or Ryan.
  5. I think he’s a turnover machine. If you look at what killed us this season, it’s INT’s, sacks, and fumbles. Jameis would exacerbate this issue. I guess if we could get him for cheap I would be okay with it, but with a small amount of veteran QB’s available in the off season, there might be a bidding war. This + Heinicke.
  6. The more I think about it, Andy Dalton might be the best choice. He’s a solid QB (3 time pro bowler), He’s played on many mediocre teams. Having the defense we have can help him on offense and he can come cheap. My gut tells me Dallas makes the right choice by brining him back and dumping Dak for his crazy salary demands. Dallas is only $20 million under the cap next season, so they would have to cut more salary to make room for Dak. With the amount of holes they have, it’s probably not worth it. For the record, I believe Dak is better than Dalton, but Dak’s salary would cripple them to fill holes. Btw, Dalton is only 33, it feels like he’s been in the league forever. I thought he was like 38 😆.
  7. Yeah, he’s GONE from philly next season. It’s Hurts team next season. The question is, What will Philly get for Wentz? Any team giving up a first, they’re getting fleeced. This is a running QB league, Wentz is a cement foot QB.
  8. Biggest one on there is, Prescott. Does Dallas let him walk? Dallas looks really bad and has so many holes, his big salary might hurt them rebuilding.
  9. If you go by first round, yes many are busts. However, many of those QB’s serviceable and will be in the league a while at least as a backup. I think there needs to be a another category, like colossal bust (Haskins). 😝
  10. Those Seahawks teams were good with Hasselbeck. Like I said, there’s going to be gaps in between QB’s. But, those teams were relevant prior to getting franchise QB’s. The Chiefs for example had Trent Green, Elvis Gerbac, Montana (yes, an aging Montana), and Alex Smith before Mahomes (they had other game managing QB’s who got them to the playoffs too). Most teams are not going to be lucky like Green Bay with Farve and then hand the keys over to Rodgers - It almost NEVER happens (unless you have the GOAT coach like Gibbs and you can win any QB 🙂). Washington hasn’t been revenant in nearly 3 decades. I think what I see around the league is that competent (not necessarily elite) QB play with a good defense can be competitive in this league.
  11. I'm starting to think a lot of these QB's like Ryan, Cousins, Stafford, etc are just not worth it. How the heck do you build a team on both sides of the ball when you have $25-40 million tied up in a mediocre QB? I think the league needs to cap QB salary in the next CBA, it might sounds harsh, but more players will get paid more not having all that money tied up with mediocre QB's. Lol, sounds like Allen's our starting QB next year.
  12. Exactly, the Patriots, Kansas CIty, Green Bay, Seattle, etc have had their windows extended with smart decisions. Yes, QB play helps, but when was the last time those teams before Brady, Rogers, Smith, and Wilson sucked in the last 30 years? There might have been a small gap of hardship between QB's, but those teams made smart decisions and have been relevant for decades. We've been bad for 30 years with a few sprinkles of playoff appearances.
  13. I still think he’s a decent coach, because coached the Browns to 11 wins 😆. However, he may go down as one of the most overrated coaches ever. His record without Tom Brady is 51-66. Joe Gibbs >>>>>>> Bill Belichick. Joe Gibbs 2.0 >>>>>>>> Bill Belichick
  14. I think he meant the most overrated QB of a generation and he drove up the price of starting QB's. That being said, I think we should look at the second tier of QB's like Carr, Darnold, and Trubisky. Lions are going to want multiple firsts for Stafford.
  15. I still fail to see the Stafford hype, he's been in the league for over decade and only been to the playoffs 3 times. Yes, the Lions suck, but so do other teams.
  16. Sucks, it feels like we are the only team in this NFL over the last 30+ years that can’t draft a QB. We get stuck with Haskins...🤢 Note: Please for the love of god don’t give up a 1st round pick for Stanford, so overrated. The NFL can thank him for overinflating QB salaries early.
  17. I would start him and just tell him to run. Why can’t we put him a few times a game just have him run?
  18. If McCarthy wasn’t a veteran coach and first year with new team, he would be on the hot seat.
