I hope if any wr is the bpa, they take him, even if it's at 19 overall. Even if it's a slot guy. If we could have samuels and moore as our slot guys, nobody is going to miss sims jr, and the other wrs on the roster would need to have ability to play outside, which tmac, harmon, AGG, cam sims all have.

Re: kj wrights position. Looks like he played wlb for years, then switched this last season. Rookie Jordyn Brooks didn’t enter the lineup full-time until Week 7. But once he did, with K.J. Wright moving to strongside linebacker in the base defense to make room, it led to a cohesion at the linebacking spot that contributed heavily to better team defense. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.seattletimes.com/sports/seahawks/seahawks-position-overview-k-j-wrights-future-the-big-question-for-seattles-linebackers-in-2021/%3famp=1 https://www.fantasyguru.com/seahawks-k-j-wright-to-stay-at-wlb/ Seahawks WLB K.J. So is it safe to say our current depth chart for LB: SLB - Holcomb, VACANT MLB - VACANT, Bostic WLB - VACANT, Hudson I don't expect Foster or JHC to make the team. So hopefully we get two starting lbs, one in FA and one in the draft, and draft a late round slb/teams player. Then look to potentially upgrade SLB next year, with holcomb playing the backup/teams role. I didn't see the Jets signed jarrad davis til right now. DOH! Maybe avery williamson as an early down thumper? Would be relatively low cost, and could be a bridge to future mlb. Seems like he had a decent showing in 2020 with pitt. But is he too similar to bostic, and why replace him with a carbon copy? Kwon alexander won't be healthy by the opener, and he is coming if a major achilles injury, but maybe sign him to a reasonable multi yr deal knowing year 1 will be limited? Kyle Van noy is talented, and can play all three lb positions. He would be a great guy to have while we sort out our lb unit. KJ Wright has been mentioned here plenty, definitely an upgrade for us, and would fill our wlb need. Elandon roberts could be a good stopgap for us at mlb. Supposedly he is pretty stout vs the run, and the Patriots brass seemed to like him, which is a good sign for a lb. Hopefully we get a starter at lb in free agency soon, then another relatively early in the draft. The depth chart is very weak as it stands right now.

Mosley would be an mlb in the 4-3 right? He would be great in that role, but what would we have to give up to get him? And the Jets aren't cap strapped and are active in trying to improve their team, not sure they'd want to part with him anyway. I was reading up on anthony walker earlier, wondering why someone getting so much praise would be allowed by an up and coming team with cap room. Turns out he is horrible in pass coverage. Might be ok at a reasonable cost as an early down thumper, but also wouldn't "solve" our mlb problem.

I searched for a LB thread, didn't see one. I know someone posted the lb depth chart on here not too long ago, but that's buried by now. Can someone with more knowledge of lb roles post the breakdown of what we currently have in house at lb for wlb, slb, and mlb? I know bostic is mlb and hudson is wlb, that's all I got. I'm hoping to see some action in the lb dept soon. Thanks!

I'm hoping we go affordable route on FS - strongly prefer hooker or boston at their price tag than anthony harris at his. I don't see the love for harris. He is good, but will command more than he is worth imo. Will turn 30 this year, only been a starter for 2 years, played alongside harrison smith. I think that would be a contract we would soon regret. I'd focus on LB, bc if we upgrade there, I don't think we need a stud FS. I'd rather go with hooker/boston and use the extra cash for other needs.
