Hitting that 49 yard TD to Terry reminded of a missed connection in the first Dallas game in the third quarter. I liked Wentz after I did some research on him and feel that we'd have probably been a playoff team last year if we'd had him.

I looked at the Wentz acquisition like this...

I never understood the hate for him. It all went sour in Philly but for some guys it takes more than a year to come back from injury. In Indy last season he was NOT as bad as people made him out to be. The Colts were poised for a playoff berth and yes, Carson had a bad game in the final week and they fell short. QBs have bad games.

Bottom line: I never liked when he was the opposing QB vs. Washington so I certainly did not mind having him come here, knowing that despite Heiney being a fighter he was never going to have the tools to open up our offense. Why not Wentz? One game is certainly not a strong sample size but we could easily see the arm strength on him, which is what Scott Turner needed to really run his game. I'll be giving Wentz some space after bad games this season because I believe we now have a QB with an arm and JUST enough mobility left to scramble when the pocket breaks down. That's all you can ask.

you wont get any argument from me that there have been mistakes. But outside of a couple a lot of them have been fairly small. And if you think every project has been mishandled you really havent been paying attention. like at all. because if you had youd notice that the only time anything the does is reported upon is when its negative. Let me ask you how much have you heard reported about all the new artwork around the stadium this past weekend? how much have you heard reported about the new mesh seating in club being used as a trial run, table top seating on club and lower level? how much have you heard reported about the new ticket prices or new member benefits? how much have you heard reported about the new legends lounge on LL with the radio stations, former players hanging out taking pictures with fans etc, food trucks, and 6.75 beer up until game time? how much have you heard reported about Tanya being at the fan rally taking pictures and just hanging out with fans and stuff? or that she was doing the same this past sunday in the legends lounge? how much have you heard reported about the fact that before the lottery was lifted fans were talking about how much they enjoyed their experience at training camp because of how intimate it was? Nah instead you get reports nitpicking every single small negative thing. Like nicki Jhavala (Sp?) taking pictures of the 2nd day of training camp with 0 context of it being so empty because it was a suite holders only day. Nope must be because it was such a stupid idea to have a lottery system. hell even like my point in my most recent post those mugs were likely stocked and being sold because it was probably done by someone who works a second part time job for a little extra cash and really didnt give it much thought. Totally a Jason Wright problem. Just like when people blame the organization about getting gear that's off centered when the organization has nothing to do with it. And if it seems like I'm taking it personal a bit you're absolutely right because of things that the organization has done for me in the background that have had an extremely positive influence on my life over the last year. But you don't ever hear those things being reported do you? are they perfect no they aren't by any means and ive been upset with some of the mistakes as well. For example I think theyve tried too hard to please everybody whether they want new traditions or they wanna keep old ones and its led to some of those mistakes. But there really is alot more good than bad if you actually pay attention

I haven't been to the stadium and no matter how well the team plays, I won't be going to the stadium. I'm priced out of that stuff. Speaking of prices, $18.00 for a beer. The team claims its because "they only have one size." WTF is THAT? Did their vendor force them to only offer one cup size at EIGHTEEN DOLLARS? Sounds like a sales and marketing issue there. Who's in charge of sales and marketing? Oh.

Mugs were "probably" done by someone who works a second part time job for a little extra cash? You reaching much on that utter speculative rebuttal? Even if by miracle that argument is true, why would an NFL organization hire someone who doesn't have time or resources to get it right?

You can take it personally if you want. I didn't post anything to you personally. The man is missing his fanbase FGs WIDE and SHORT. You can reply all you want from here. I know what I'm seeing from this guy so I don't need to keep it going with you.

This whole coffee mug thing is hilarious to me right now. Unless this coffee directly hurt you as fan then who cares? like seriously I'm going to start asking people to show me where the mug hurt him. Like good god have a laugh and move on 😂

*yes I know you're not the one complaining about the mug just the most recent post about it lol

Actually I AM complaining about the mug!  😆

If it were Jason's only blunder it would indeed be just funny. It's a pattern now. A pattern of sloppy, ignorant job status. He stumbles and bumbles and fumbles every assignment. It's not funny anymore.

The two year renaming project that ended in "Commanders." That's all you came up with??? TWO YEARS????

The uniform mistake in the promo video designed to keep the uniform hidden. It's even HIM in the video exposing the secret.

The alma mater tribute day that was announced WAY too late, former players names misspelled, Sean Taylors field tribute being DANCED upon.

The LAME new version of the fight song.

    The coffee mug.

There's more I'm forgetting here but WOW, this guy sleeps soundly at night on his fat paychecks while mishandling every project.

  4. I'm late to this thread...

Episode One: Typical pilot episode. Awkward, questionable chemistry as they introduce the characters. Almost didn't come back to the show.

Episode Two: Holy moly, this show picked up speed quickly but I can't stand Dr. Who.

Episode Three: Dr. Who is carrying this thing on his back and I love him!!

Episode Four: They're taking it all down a notch this week and-- Wait. More incest? Whoa, now she's schtupping her bodyguard.

I'm all in, friends. It's living up to the hype.

I don't know about this game.  I feel like Week 1 as a whole is a tough week of football to draw too many conclusions from.

I always feel that way about the first 3 weeks of the season. Teams come out strong, fade late. Teams stumble out, surge late, etc.

Anyway, until we know "who we are" (and let's face it, we sort of know organizationally who we are) I just assume we can lose to anyone, anytime, anyplace. We've won season openers before.

Prediction: We don't exactly stop the run or the screen and that's Daytwah's best part of their game. Swift is a beast. We're lucky Goff's not a mobile QB though. I predicted a semi-low-scoring game last week. This one comes down to defense and though I'm not super confident in ours, we gotta be better than the Lions... right?

Commanders 33, Lions 29. Start strong, contain Swift, knock Goff around, do NOT turn the ball over.

  6. I could not find a thread dedicated to Jason Wright so I hope my post in this thread is okay...

Soooo, now the "coffee mug" embarrassment. I don't know if this is directly attributable to Jason (anything in marketing is on him IMO) but COME ON, MAN. Everything he touches goes terribly wrong and I'll be shocked and insulted if he's here next season. I just have to wonder if he double-checks anything about his department at all before it goes into effect. He was hired to improve the image of our team. He's flailing and failing epically.

We need a guy like Micah Parsons on that line, just relentless

Dude is a new Lawrence Taylor. Vicious.

Most teams have a "star" LB and we have NOTHING of note at the position. It's going to hurt us all season. We play a lot of teams this year with strong run games. Saquon twice, Ezekiel twice, Detroit has Swift, Tennessee has Henry, etc. Not to mention mobile QBs like Jalen Hurts, twice. I'm not saying anything new here but wow... we're in trouble as a run defense team.

Why is he out on bail? He needs to be in jail until his trial because he keeps riling up the magats for war against the United States.

My biggest question: How do these people see guys like Trump/Bannon etc. get investigated or charged with crimes REPEATEDLY and think, "The dems are out to get them. Harrassment." The smoke billows out every week but they can't see fire. Law enforcement entities charge people because they have evidence. They convict people because they have proof. Not to Trumpers though. It's all just "made up."

Bannon defrauds them for MILLIONS of dollars right in front of their faces but they see no crime at all. When he first started that "wall fund" thing I remember thinking "How can Steve Bannon, just a regular citizen even get those funds DIRECTED to something as governmental as building a border wall? Trumpers never even asked themselves that question. Now he's going to criminal trial over it and they STILL don't make any connection to a crime that was apparent from the beginning right up to the moment we found out he was sailing around the world on a brand new YACHT!

The willful, dedicated ignorance used to be funny but now it's just terrifying. It's a fanatical religion.

  9. Despite thinking the Manders are "better," I honestly can't pick a winner here but I'll explain...

Coaching for Jacksonville evens this contest heading into the weekend. I don't think players (Lawrence, Etienne, etc.) turn franchises around. Coaches do. I think Doug Pederson will be a force of drastic change in Jax and it will show right away. Rivera has not really "turned things around" in Washington.

I think the Jags' defense is going to be solid again and this could spell trouble for newly-acquired Carson Wentz. I think our defense will struggle out of the gate, especially our LB crew.

So I just can't get a proper read on either of these teams. I think we'll see a relatively low-scoring, close game in the 17-16 range and it could go either way. For the sake of homership, I'll take Washington but this one's wide open to the team with the most desire... and the better coach.

This is the single-most mind-boggling thing to me about those that sign on to help DJT. Like they haven't seen ALL the people before them get fired, jailed, slandered, stiffed or all of the above. Yet they still line up with hands raised to do his illegal bidding. Even if you worship the man, you'd better do that from far, far away or you're GOING DOWN and he'll help push your head under water when he's done with you. In a week he'll be blaming her for everything while he calls her useless and stupid... and he'll be right about the stupid.

Insane. I'll never understand it. 🤦‍♂️

If Biden is a no go; Harris is definitely running. There will be pressure to have no opposition for Harris but that won’t be the case. There will definitely be a progressive challenger and maybe more.

The best scenario is when you at least 2 strong candidates duking it out for the nomination. It makes the winner a better candidate.

The gop field is hamstrung by Trump. He runs , the race is over; no matter who runs against him. Trump has that solid 30-40% ; which will win him any primary.

He doesn’t run, then the gop field will be as big as the Dems was last time.

And I don't think we'd get the repub party "frontrunners" like Cruz or Rubio. Trump cucked them so hard they'll never sniff a presidential campaign run again. DeSantis would be the easy fit. Guys like Romney are probably viewed as democrats by the republican voting base by now. Waaaay too "centrist."

While ep 2 was a bit slower, it was still great and a lot of important things happened. Felt like classic GoT.

I was "iffy" about the premiere episode. Pilots are always awkard IMO. Introducing characters, the chemistry is odd between the actors, they always just taste kind of like "cardboard" episodes to me. Episode two brought me right back into the old GoT feels. I loved it and can't wait for more. Even the "slow" portions provided intrigue and moved the plot along very well.

You put to much faith. I fully expect nothing to happen to Trump and all the politicians involved. They may get indicted but th at won't be convicted.

Unfortunately, I have to semi-agree here. I do think that some of the politicians/staffers/supporters that did dirty deeds for Trump will be punished, just like Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort. I just don't think (and never have) that our DoJ will ever indict, convict, or imprison a former POTUS.

The case has always been that those serving DJT take the fall. This is why it baffles me that anyone ever enlists in his service after seeing time after time that he uses, discards, and leaves his people in jeopardy. It's truly mind-boggling to me that they never see it coming. Yes, he pardoned a few but they run right back to the front line for him where they risk yet more exposure to law enforcement.

It's truly a cult. THE most amazing political phenomenon of my lifetime. I'd come somewhere close to admiring it if I didn't know it were SO corrupt and SO devoid of ANY good intention from the cult leader.

  14. I remember the first time I saw Warner was in a movie called "Time After Time." He played Jack the Ripper, locked in a time travel battle with H.G. Wells, played by Malcolm McDowell. That all sounds kinda kooky but I always loved that movie.

    Paul Sorvino is a legend.

  15. I'm still amazed at how many Trump staffers are now saying they thought he was a nutcase and advised him against the Big Lie but never said a word to the DoJ or the public over a year ago... or a year ago.. or 6 months ago... or even 3 months ago. Not a single one of them deserves any credit/leniency/protection now.

Scorched Earth all the way up and down the chain for every coward.
