I am on a couple of Wiz Facebook groups and every time I mention that this is all too weird, I get people telling me to "relax" and that this is all under control. The mystery and vaguery behind it all is simply unsettling and not on the up-and-up. If we're talking about "mental health issues" then I'm happy to say we're handling this situation a LOT better than Philly has done with Simmons. I also get that the organization is probably protecting Hachimura's privacy.

However, I am of the opinion now that pretty soon we'll get a bomb dropped on us when the team is somehow forced to release the real news about what's going on because this is all just... too... WEIRD. I'm starting to suspect that we won't see Rui in a Wizards uniform anymore, and maybe not in an NBA uniform.

  2. I'm a sucker for all things Marvel and MCU. That said, I have not felt the itch to go catch The Eternals in theaters. I'm sure I'll buy in when it hits Disney+ and I'll either love it or talk myself into liking it. I appreciate all the reviews here!

I'm a big "ancient civilizations" enthusiast so I'm excited to hear the references to Mesopotamia.

The 'QAnon Shaman' quotes 'Forrest Gump' in a new sentencing memo requesting his release for time served

The 23-page document begins with a bolded quote from the 1994 movie "Forrest Gump."

"My momma always said, you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on," the introductory quote reads.

I'm glad you all have started to come around to what I was saying last season about Avdija :ols:

My ass is still chapped we didn't get Haliburton

I'm rehashing my takes on Otto back in his 2nd year. Porter did get a lot better in year 3 but has never turned into an impact NBA player...

I see Deni as being very much like the early Otto. If you're a special player, it shows right away. Not every night but we'd see certain plays or certain games where the NBA talent is immediately apparent. Deni's not showing me anything at all that tells me there's a future impact guy. I know he's got 79 more games to improve but on our current roster Wes can't afford to give Avdija the minutes to grow like that... and I'm not sure I'm seeing a player that would grow if he DID get those minutes.

    But they don't care

They let it go and move on to the next manufactured rage point

They lie, lie again, lie about lying

There is no rationale or continuity to any of it.

I have found it much easier to accept when I see it as the course of their pathology- they are rabid and living out the effects of the disease.

Ironically, I don't think the Trump voters know they're lying. They really do believe what they're being fed. THAT's the scary part. It's like extremists of other fascist religion. They're on a jihad and I don't use that word jokingly. They think "god" wants liberals dead. There are a TON of Trumpists that WANT to murder fellow americans right now. They want it and they really believe it's somehow necessary to start a war in the streets, killing fellow countrymen.

  6. Sooooo Conor McGregor just improved his record against civilians to 2-0-1. (Machine Gun Kelly was ruled a draw.)

I'm sure we're all aware of the recent Jon Jones arrest for battering his fiancee.

These are easily the two highest money-making fighters in UFC history. They're also the two fighters in MMA history that I've never rooted for a single time. I felt their narcissism and their sociopathy from the very first time I saw them speak into a microphone. I admittedly also saw their talent. I've had a healthy hatred for both personalities throughout their careers and have endured watching them both beat up my "preferred fighters" for many years.

Jones is without a doubt the GOAT, regardless of the positive drug tests, which many will point to when they rate him in all-time status. I personally think that 90% of the fighters on any roster are using PEDs so I can't personally factor that into Bones' ranking among the greats. He destroys everyone and I even gave him wins in the close contests like Gus, Santos, and Reyes. He's incredible in the cage, no doubt. However, I just could not see how any fans at all could ever root for such an obviously "evil" person who punches down at everyone in life.

McGregor has gone full-on maniac, attacking anyone and everyone on the street who doesn't cater to his ego and saying things in the UFC press world or even in the octagon that make his mental issues very transparent. I suspect he's avoided a ton of bad press for things we don't even know about.

Can they BOTH be drug/alcohol-related problems? Maybe. Jones has admitted to being an irresponsible drinker. I don't expect Conor to ever "admit" anything without an arrest to expose any substance abuse we don't already have proof of. It's my opinion, though, that they are both simply garden variety sociopathic narcissists with no ability to feel empathy/sympathy for others. I also think they have both been rewarded with WAY too much money and fame to become aware of their startling immaturity and correct it.

It's a shame that so much talent can be accompanied by SUCH flawed personalities. I have to confess though- I'm having some serious schadenfreude right now as I watch them both spiral out of control of their personal lives. I've simply been a hater too long.

    1. Would love to hear your takes on these two.

    2. Are there any young fighters or current successful guys/ladies out there in MMA that you see following the same path and are already displaying the same traits?

Yeah, he's still doing his boring show.

I like Sheehan a lot. I love the junkies for what they bring too. I usually put the Junks on tv while getting ready for work and then put Kevin on in the car on my way in. Sometimes I finish out the Junkies show at night on the NBCSW replay.

I didn't like him on tv but LOVE his radio show. He and his producer crack me up.

    1. Still amazed at how the "Law and Order" party skirts law and order with no consequence. They'll do it successfully again. Why? Because...

    2. The dems will prove impotent and maddeningly passive again.

    3. Ultimate outcome here? Nothing will happen.

People trashing Beal and he says he’s not anti-vaxx.  He’s still considering the vaccine.  Calm down people.  I go in for my second shot on the 4th.  I guess to most of you guys in here I’m a piece of **** for waiting so long to get the vaccine SMH

We certainly do NOT think you're a piece of ****. Maybe a fart or even a small dingleberry but no way an entire doody. That would be way out of line.
