This is a pretty good video. It's every play from Chase Young. It's long - about an hour. But really shows his talent.  It also showed some other guys doing well - Tim Settle in particular. I swear that guy starts on any other team.

He highlighted the play I liked most - when he saw a swing pass pass developing and got off Peters and chased the play down from behind. Crazy awareness. As Rico calls it - it's a very high IQ play.

    That was fun, thank you.

If someone insisted Fedor was the overall GOAT HW, I wouldn't aggressively argue.

But Miocic does have some things to his credit worth mentioning.

While Miocic did indeed mostly beat guys past their prime, remember he also dominated Ngannou for 5 rounds, who's obviously young and formidable, and consistently KO's guys in the 1st round. Noone else could dominate Ngannou like he did.

Also, while DC was past his peak when Miocic fought him, DC was still a tremendous fighter, even at that stage of his career. To beat him twice in a row, including a KO, is noteworthy despite DC's age. Even Jones didn't beat DC twice (drug-free, that is)

And if he also beats a young, highly dangerous Ngannou twice, that by itself has gotta vault Miocic into the conversation of GOAT.

The only thing left really, for Miocic to match Fedor with, would be his longevity and streak.

Although, one could also take a different angle, and point out Fedor was more well-rounded, and better at grappling.

It just all depends on how you subjectively define the words, best or greatest.

He's gotta beat Struve or I can't rank him.  😆

Fedor wanted to try the easiest route to killing you at all times.  It wasn't a sport or a show...it was kill-you-and-survive.  A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Savant finally killed the killer.

    Fedor pre-Werdum 4-lyfe

Amazing. That clip reminded me that when Fedor was king, there were not many rules. Yes, this meant he could do more to hurt you but it also meant his opponents could do more to hurt him... and they couldn't hurt him.

The pants unzipped photo was taken on a yacht where his family was having a Trailer Park Boys theme party.  Is it a big deal?  I don't know.  Trailer Park Boys isn't exactly christian recommended viewing.  I think it's disrespectful to the christian community that supports him.

Of course it is. However, I think we're expecting not only Falwell but christians in today's world to all be extremist christians. No jokes, no stepping into gray areas EVER, etc. He's not a quaker and neither are 99.999% of christian americans.

Believe me, I'd love to see him take a fall for more serious infractions and I have little doubt he's guilty of some REAL unchristian things and probably some REAL illegal things. Let's root those out instead of pointing our fingers and screaming about things like this. "Bigger fish to fry." "Eyes on the prize."

I'm a liberal and I'm not a Falwell appreciator for sure, but is this THAT bad? Even the "pants unzipped" photo. Is it that big a deal? I get it that folks like him are supposed to "walk their talk" but have we rally gotten to the point that we're calling out joke photos and semi-questionable (if even questionable) exercise routines?

We're living in the age of presidents who went to teenage girl orgy parties. Sex trafficking, national election fraud, children in cages, mass-shootings, violent "police" squad crackdowns on peaceful protest. This topic is cinnamon toast crunch.

I have been seeing a ton of "OMG child trafficking!" going around Facebook lately.  Is this a Q thing or just a GOP deflection thing?

It's a noble cause, no question. However, I don't see any actual accomplishments from it. How many children saved? How many can be proven? How many of their own are they willing to call out? Circumstantial evidence continues to mount on Donald J. Trump but they willfully consider him the man leading their crusade against child-trafficking and child sex abuse.

They're going to hit some targets just from spraying the walls with their accusations but the entire movement just reeks of political convenience. I was having this discussion on social media with a Q "researcher" who was making the case that the movement goes after conservatives too. In his effort to prove it, he sent me a list of politicians that have been forced to resign or were actually convicted due to child porn/child sex abuse. The list contained about 1/3 republicans and he felt this confirmed his argument. I replied asking how many of all these politicians were actually outed by Q before public awareness. No response.

Like you said, Stipe is now made the GOAT of UFC HW.

Who is the GOAT MMA HW ? I think you could make a case for him as well, and he is definitely in the conversation.

If you look at the quality of guys he's beaten. Here's a comparison to Fedor.

    Fedor Notable Wins:

    • Big Nog X2
    • Cro Cop
    • Mark Coleman
    • Kevin Randleman
    • Gary Goodridge
    • Fujita
    • Arona
    • Tim Sylvia
    • Arlovski
    • Mark Hunt

    Stipe Notable Wins:

    • Daniel Cormier x2
    • Werdum
    • Ngannou
    • Overreem
    • JDS
    • Arlovski
    • Mark Hunt
    • Maldonado
    • Gonzaga
    • Roy Nelson

Nice homework! I would put Werdum, Reem, Hunt, Arlovski and maybe even JDS in the "past their prime" category but your counter is indeed well-taken and a very good case.

I also think Fedor was just so much more well-rounded than Stipe. His toolbox was stuffed with all the necessaries. He changed the sport.

I just finished watching Killing Eve.  The character of Villainelle might be my favorite from any TV series.  She is completely ruthless in a charming sort of way.  I love the difference between what a tv series can get away with in the U.S. versus the BBC.  However, Hulu has only

Last One Laughing on Netflix is fun too.  The premise is to stick comedians in a small apartment like setting for six hours and the last one to laugh wins.  They do some absolutely crazy things to get a laugh.

EXTREMELY underrated (and under hailed) show. Villainelle is fantastic.

I finished it. Season two was good! S1 had more violence and espionage but I dug S2. It finished strongly.

I think Lhasa Apsos are underrated.  They don't get a lot of recognition.

Agreed! My parents had one. Noodles. Those dogs don't care that they're tiny. Noodles used to walk right up on much bigger dogs and issue a challenge. 😂

Picks for Miocic and DC ?

I'm calling DC. I think what he needs to do is get this fight to the mat. He never had the chance to do that in the first fight and he (for some reason) did not do that in the 2nd fight. IMO Stipe has only shown real (high-level) grappling against Ngannou, who has zero competent wrestling/BJJ and Miocic still didn't finish him. Cormier needs to exploit this and I think he will.

O'Malley. Maybe Vera will have enough grit to make it ugly and wear Sean down... but can he stay conscious until he can make that happen?

JDS needs to make it out of the early going to beat Rozenstruik. This is the toughest call for me but I have to believe experience wins here. Dos Santos gets his hand raised.. probably UD but I'm aware Junior can throw bombs too so who knows. Jairzinho is a killer but he might be taking on competition that's too highly-ranked for him at this stage in his career.

By the way- I listen to the Luke Thomas show on SiriusXM. The other day he was discussing MMA's greatest HW ever. The general opinion among fans right now is that the winner of this main event will hold that title. Luke was adding Fedor to that mix. He basically said that DC or Stipe will become the UFC's GOAT HW, but not MMA's GOAT HW, which is Fedor. I agree with Luke. Thoughts, guys?

That money is usually what goes to support animal shelters and similar programs.  I have never heard of it being enforced but we always get our pets registered anyways.  It also helps with reuniting you with your pet if it ever gets lost.

People need to stop being so cheap.

Thank you. I was not aware.

@Chachie almost every time I see someone bit or scratched during proceedures it's because they are either holding wrong, not paying attention, or overconfident.  We rarely (albeit do) use protective gear, but will slip a muzzle over sketchy animals.

I'm the poor bastage that has to train everyone on how to hold, and the progressions you go thru to make sure everyone is safe.  Ie. Getting people to help if one has to overcomit to securing another part of the body.  We'll have 4 people helping with one animal at times.

It's safe to say a lot of vet techs (who have different levels of skill in different categories) aren't very good at holding.  A lot of them don't apply the training I give them, either.  Either they think it's too serious/silly to hold correctly, think it's below what they actually want to learn...I dunno.  Then they get bit.

Yesterday I was apologetic and open to protocol. After I had a day to ponder it, I'm wondering what to say to my vet. I appreciate them and have been with them for years but I feel like they NARCed on me after their tech did not protect herself!

I don't think my vet can do anything about it now that animal control is involved. I feel like my kitten is on a "3 strikes" plan with the county now.  🙁

  12. So yesterday I took my 15 week old kitten, Razzle, to the vet for his 2nd round of vaccinations. After two shots (one in each hip) and during his third shot (rabies vax), he turned around and bit the vet tech that was holding him down.

The doctor told me the tech went to emergency care so I assume Razzle drew blood. I was also informed that Razzle would have to go on a 10 day quarantine, which is no big deal as he's still an indoor cat at least until I have him neutered when he's gets past 6 months of age.

I got a call from animal control today, saying that they were coming out to my house to serve his restriction papers and that he'll have to be registered with Montgomery County. This all seems a bit extreme. Vet techs are provided with protective gear and should use it. I would expect that these folks deal with bites and scratches every day in their career.

Am I overreacting? Are they overreacting? Do I have any course of action to contest my KITTEN being registered with the county as a dangerous animal? (I'd have asked but I'm at work. My GF was the one who met them at my house.)

    EDIT-

I just checked the Rockville Animal Control website...

    https://www.rockvillemd.gov/250/Pet-Licenses

I never in my life knew pets had to be "licensed." The application goes to the City Police Dept. I've had cats and dogs all my life and never licensed a single pet. This is just about the dumbest local govt money-grab I ever heard of.

    Razzle...

Been watching Perry Mason with my family and it's pretty good so far, even if it is a little confusing at times.

I've been watching. It hasn't reached that "HBO Sunday Night Magic" level that I'm accustomed to but it's good. I tuned in initially because it's HBO and particularly for Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black. I think she's fantastic.

What I'm REALLY looking forward to from HBO this summer is Lovecraft Country. THAT looks like my cup of tea.
