Saw this last night. It was a good action flick. Lots of good one liners about killing people.

Of those, Walking Dead is pretty good, not spectacular. I haven't started House of Cards yet, that is next in my queue. Mad Men is garbage unless you are REALLY enthralled by a period piece and smoking.

The mechanic doing the inspection checked it.....whose shop also does repairs. I'll check it myself. It is one of those automatic climate control systems. None of the speeds work.

Just curious. My heater/AC/defroster stopped working. Its not the fuse. Three figures to fix this? Or 4? In related news, I may be selling a 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE. Black w/ black leather interior. No heat/AC/defroster, otherwise runs great!

You don't think the judges know the preference of the guy that pays the bills? I think takedowns are more than transitions. They are imposing your will on the other guy. I see your point though. If your will is to have the fight fought on the ground, then you should do damage while it IS ACTUALLY on the ground. I guess the corollary would be a jab. Jabs don't really do damage on their own, but they set up other strikes (or takedowns )

In wrestling you get 2 points for a takedown, 1 point for an escape. I used to take guys down and let them back up all the time if they couldn't stop me. While I agree that refs should be quicker to stand guys up if they arent working to improve their position (or pummelling faces), MMA is a sport were it is sometimes tough to see subtle things that are happening. I don't think one aspect is valued over another. If anything, it seems that Dana White would be incentivized to skew it towards striking. Knockouts sell. Like Destino said, if you are at the top level of MMA, the UFC, you SHOULD train very hard to develop takedown defense. If you suck at it, then it is going to get exploited. That's what makes the sport great.

Just to throw my 2 cents in here: I love Bones. (full disclosure: i also love Koscheck). I originally thought that Bones was sort of given a free pass early and didnt earn his title shot, but at this point, i have a hard time holding that against him since, you know, he's beaten the **** out of everyone he's faced. I think it's going to be a good fight tonight but ultimately Bones will win convincingly. I know, not really going out on a limb with that. I dont really have much else to say. KO in the 2nd
