Rivera may have felt a strong need to replace TH as QB1 and yet be entirely comfortable with him as QB2. No inconsistency required. In addition to "coach speak" there is also such a thing as "fan listen" - when fans blow off a coach's comments with which they disagree as mere lip service.
-
If that's the case, why would you believe anything he says? Why bother to watch his interviews at all?

I must have watched a different interview. In the one I saw, Rivera said he was very happy with his top two QBs, Carson and Taylor ("...who we really like a lot"). He said Howell is in a position where he can learn from the top two guys without a lot of immediate pressure.

... as opposed to the tiny Antonio Gibson at 6'2" and 220 with 4.4 speed? Robinson hits hard, but he isn't really a big back.

If there's no evidence because it didn't actually happen, which seems increasingly likely, then the "heroic whistleblower" is neither heroic nor a whistleblower and deserves whatever unpleasant attention Snyder's attorneys may visit upon him.

Terry Mac was the 12th receiver selected in 2019. Granted, he's an exception.

So... 1) the front office somehow failed to convey to McKissic that they wanted to keep him, and 2) they assured Ion's agent that his client would not be cut. This fails to give me warm and fuzzy feelings about their competence and professionalism. And, 3) they just tweeted that Collins had been cut when he hadn't. Oopsie.

My comment was in response to an article about the NFL as a whole. As of November 17, 94.3% of players in the league had been vaccinated. It's difficult to see how there can be a "COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players" that would cause the NFL to follow through on its threat to forfeit any team's games.
