  1. Maybe it's not smart, but I never want players to quit. They should always fight. Losing should never be desirable.
  2. geesh, how does the point guard have five more rebounds than the power forward? Blatche has two rebounds?
  3. except if everyone is staying in school... that pick isn't worth much to any other team either.
  4. I think Cleveland probably completely lost its focus after beating the Heat. That was their Superbowl and they were bound to let down. In fact, after smashing the Heat losing to the Wizards might be icing on the cake.
  5. Well, looks like the Wall suspenscion came on a game the Wiz could afford to lose him. Nice to see the team rallying... at least based on the score.
  6. That could be because there are so many injured bodies and coaches have told him not to hesitate, but shoot.
  7. Ah, didn't know that. In that case, Heat player deserves at least what Wall got.
  8. One game suspension is fair and almost acknowledgement that Wall was justified. I thought Howard might have got something. The guy whose name I can't spell at the moment seemed to be executing a normal, albeit dirty basketball play. Should have been a foul, but I'm not sure it merited a suspension.
  9. If I had to put money down, I'd say Cleveland gets the No. 1 draft pick. Not only do they have the record, but someone will want to make up for Lebron's departure.
  10. If you play your cards right someone may pay you some pretty good money to take their tickets off their hands. Pay for tickets? No, fans should be paid at this point.
  11. How long is Nick Young going to be "young" He's been in the team for several years and sat behind good players such as Jameson, Butler, and even Arenas. At this point, if Nick isn't ready to pick up the reins why should we think he ever would be. Honestly, same for Blatche. He's been in the league how many years? McGee has something of an excuse this is "only" his third year, but still he's been in the NBA for three years! How long does it take!
  12. Question, why is this considered Blake Griffin's rookie season? This is his second year on the team, his second go around through training camps, and his second year watching and practicing with the pros. In my book, he's not a rookie.
  13. Just looking at the score, it seems like all the fight went out of the team again. For two games they were competing. Is Blatche really that much of a drain on the team's psyche?
  14. They're trying. They're trying awfully hard to give this game away. CAN THEY DO IT!!!
  15. There's a part of me that will be sad if we win. I mean if you're going to be bad... be historically bad. To come this close and fail just makes you miserable. To break into the record books now that would be spectacular. To lose more away games in a row than anyone else ever while having a winning home record. That would be something for trivia experts to use for decades.
  16. Yes, but the question is can he take that next step or should we be grateful for moving the bar and let him go. He's made some pretty bad trades in recent years.
  17. Right now, the Wiz have a superstar in the making in Wall. That could be enticing to a GM. More, they have a fair amount of cap space and flexibility. Basically, you aren't saddled with anyone except maybe Rashard Lewis. That means that you can create the team in your image without any real restrictions. That ought to be very attractive to a personell guy. On the other hand, looking at the Wiz roster you have almost nothing and you really are starting from zero. I mean besides Wall who's of worth? McGee maybe? Young? Could Booker and Cartier become something. This is really a scrapheap of a roster.
  18. Maybe McGee can take it but Blatch can't. Maybe Blatche is too emotionally fragile to handle public scrutiny. We've been talking about his "maturity" for a long time. This could be more evidence of that.
  19. The Wiz just need to get a little better at home. Imagine if they could win 90% of their home games they could be the first NBA team in history to go to the playoffs without winning a game on the road
  20. Whaddaya know. Boy this team tries hard to lose though. Cheese.
  21. If they lose that'll actually be pretty embarrassing. How do you lose a 8 point lead with 11 seconds to go?
  22. So, how many bonefide starters are on the Wizards? Wall seems to be one in the making. Is McGee, Young, Blatche, or Lewis starting material in the league or really do we have a team of back ups?
  23. I looked at their record today. It is the craziest one I think I have ever seen. 9-10 at home. Average, almost respectable. 0-15 on the road. Hopeless and pathetic beyond repair. How can it be that drastically different? Are NBA hoops different sizes in different arenas? Are the courts waxed differently?
  24. It's pretty incredible. A year ago, everyone was saying that this contract made Arenas completely untradable. Thanks for the good years, Gil. You gave us good, bad, odd, and outright strange times.
