  1. S&S, but aren't you going to have to stand all game if you're along the LL sidelines? I know we have the debates on here about standing vs sitting, but I would think that spending $130 per seat and having to stand for every game would get kind of old.
  2. The non-divisional home schedule for 2014: Seattle, St Louis, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tennessee Top teams in the NFL (besides the Seahawks)???????
  3. Morocco apparently had his interview for the Bucs GM position today, and apparently AJ Smith is getting an interview somewhere as well.
  4. Teams in the three London games in 2014 have already been set. I doubt the Skins get a home game moved to London anytime soon, if ever.
  5. Look at the non-divisional home slate for next season: Seattle, Atlanta, St Louis, Jacksonville, Tennessee. Seattle of course will be a big draw, and Atlanta perhaps will return to good form. St Louis looks to be improved (especially once they get our top five pick!!) but is just a blah team overall. And Jacksonville and Tennessee.......ugh!! Seems like a promising scene on the aftermarket for a team that will be coming off a 3-13 or 4-12 season.
  6. I'm not exactly sure what the tiebreakers are in the event of a three-way tie for the division, but considering Philly and Dallas play each other at the end of the season, both teams only need to go 1-3 over their next four to ensure that at least one of them would get 8 wins as a result of a win during that last game.....which is the max number of wins the Skins can get. Sorry Cooleyfan1993, but its over.
  7. Dudes! Game has been over for close to an hour! Where's the paloff fever????
  8. Can we clinch the division with Dallas losses today and next week, a Giants loss next week, and a win against Philly?
  9. Paloff fever overtook the stadium tonight. And we get to do this again in 6 days!
  10. Don't the Cowboys wear their blue-ish throwbacks on Thanksgiving? If so, the Skins will wear white, and knowing Bruce, the gold pants will be back on Thursday.
  11. C'mon guys.....get with the program.......its been two hours already after the game that put us at 4-6 and two games out of first.......this thread needs to be bumped!
  12. The upper level SROs probably can still be had for a $290 season price, but highly doubt those have club level access. Not sure whether the club level SROs, which obviously have club access, are offered as season tickets. However, I seem to recall the Skins asking price for them was like $150 per game, and they could be had on the secondary market sites for the Cardinals game last season for as low as $15.
  13. Good luck with that move S&S......hope they move you to the 200s. As I said earlier in the thread, just from my experience downstairs the one time this season, standing in the 100s season after season would get very old quick.
  14. Dock, probably closer to 80K now that they took out the end zone upper decks, but I see your point. I didn't go to many games at RFK and only for the few I did make I sat in the lower bowl along the sidelines. I remember having to stand some during those games because the first row of seats was so low to the field that those folks would have to stand and thus cause a chain reaction. Because it was so long ago, don't remember how much I had to stand for those games. Fast forward to FedEx and was able to get tickets for many games and sat in the lower bowl. By that time they had built the first row at the new stadium high enough up which supposedly alleviated the problem that existed at RFK. Don't remember standing at all during those two years. Moved to the club level in '99 and first through the Skins and then purchasing from other sellers have been there since. We had relatives that wanted to see the Pats this season so we got two extra tickets for the game in the lower bowl. I figured that I'd sit down there for a game for a change. Well, I didn't do any sitting. The whole game I stood, and I attribute that to the construction of the dream seats which probably created the RFK situation all over again. OK, what was the point of this rant? I'm still relatively young enough where I don't mind standing, and I know that a lot of people thinks it makes it more like a frenzied college atmosphere where everyone stands. But right now those seats are $110, and if the Skins get good again and start making the playoffs, you know those are going to rise. I'm thinking, given that Snyder hasn't raised prices in a whie, that he might go to $150 the next time around for lowers. The question:Is it going to be worth $150 for people to consistently stand at games? Another question I have is the makeup of the lower deck crowd. Do you think its mainly STH-owned, or do you think a fair number of those seats are corporate? Judging by the amount of visiting jerseys I see, I'm inclined to think its the latter.
  15. PSU, where did you move FROM to go to the club level? How long were you in the club (just one season?) and how much did you have to fork over? Just curious............
  16. Hogs Haven parodies the Skins premium ticket office: http://www.hogshaven.com/2011/12/28/2665718/the-office-redskins-marketing-strategy-for-club-seats-video
  17. Yeah Chip I wonder if you finance a PSL for 30 years and then walk away after, say, two years, are you responsible for the balance of the loan? I would imagine you would be. The PSLs for the GA seats at Cowboys Stadium ($2-5K) seem OK but the licenses for the clubbers, starting at 16K and going to 50K......geez! Gotta be hard for someone to get even close to that back.
  18. RFKFedEx, what have you found as far as people being able to sell their PSL (in various cities) for more than they bought them for? I recall you might have posted on that once but can't remember what you found out. ---------- Post added September-23rd-2011 at 06:01 PM ---------- Totally agree, especially when you stories of the Redskins offering fans sweet deals on the club level for ONE year, with the promise to upgrade from uppers to lowers as a result. But loyal customers who might consider signing a long term deal, if the price is right? No dice.
  19. I think the logistics or finances involved in just entering the stadium is a major thing that is off-putting to folks. The traffic isn't necessarily horrendous if you get there reasonable early, but you're either looking at a mile walk from the Metro (kudos to dgreen for doing it with three young kids) or being stuck for $35 to park your car. I know some on here think that $35 is a bargain but not everyone who goes to the games tailgates. I know we're not the only stadium that charges that much, but it makes me wince when someone posts their invoice from the late 1990s and it has a cost of only $10/game for parking passes. This is an area where Snyder has been much too greedy.
  20. One of the things I'm curious about: for the people who are STHs, how many of the games do you go to per season and actually sit in your seats, and how many games per season do you wind up selling? I can see things/events coming up and work obligations that on rare occasion keep people from attending games, but for those people who wind up selling, say, half their games, I wonder: why have season tickets if you're not going to go?
  21. Article from Hogs Haven on resale prices, which links to a Forbes article. Seems to be so contradictory to what we are seeing going on. http://www.hogshaven.com/2011/9/16/2429621/according-to-forbes-redskins-tickets-re-sale-value-is-10th-best-in-nfl#storyjump
  22. And don't they charge $150 for the club SROs at the ticket window?
  23. So if the owner has the option that you describe, doesn't that mean that its "up to the owner?" You have to think that some analysis went into the removal of the upper level end zone and in the end, Snyder decided it was in the better interest to rip the seats out rather than continue to purchase the unsold ones.
