Yeah, no shorts cutes.😀 We want to be a team that consistently contends and when the inevitable downturn occurs, it’s not deep or long lasting. Just look at the free agency era since 1993 and see which teams have been consistent winners. Some of it does involve a little luck, ie Green Bay having 2 franchise qbs and possibly could have a third one with Love. We got competent people running the show now and they will make the best decision they feel. I prefer the rookie qb to start as soon as he’s ready. The only way to get experience is by playing but I don’t want the qb playing if he isn’t ready yet or we don’t have the line yet to protect him. I can live with Mariotta starting the season and then give way to the rookie qb; unless that rookie qb wows like Russell Wilson did in his rookie year.

Should the United States scrap the electoral college?
88Comrade2000 replied to Springfield's topic in The Tailgate
Right now the minority is imposing their views on the majority. The way the government is set up, gives the minority the power to block what a majority wants. As for the EC, nothing will happen to it. Unless some of the southern states turn solid blue; doubt the gop does anything. The popular vote seems to be an attempt to rectify things but the flaw seems to be ignoring the will of the voters of that state. If that state is giving its electoral votes to whoever wins the popular vote, then it could be ignoring the will of the voters of that state. The popular vote winner is candidate X but the voters of that state voted for candidate Y. I think this solution just creates another problem. They should try the Nebraska/ Maine approach. Allocate the EVs for each congressional district to whoever wins that district. So, you can have EVs in deep red or blue states going to the other party. Then EVs that represent the Senate, can go to whoever wins the state overall. It’s a fairer way of using the EC system. I don’t know who this benefits but it will mean more areas will be in play. -
There might not be a good qb left for Giants to take. Both Denver and Las Vegas are also looking at qbs. 4 QBs will be gone by time Giants draft at 6. Unless the Pats trade down, don’t see the Giants getting one of the better qbs. While drafting Pennix or Nix might be to high where Broncos or Raiders draft; they could trade back into first round or trade down their first round pick to take qb later.

Don’t worry. Trump wins, there will be no electoral college. There will be no voting at all. -
How dumb was Cooke by not owning the land he built his stadium on.

If you’re going to give up both our second rounders plus a 2025 pick; that’s an awful lot to give up for one player-just for an LT or RT. You’d better be sure. I’d rather trade Allen and a 2025 pick.

They aren’t voting for Biden. For those who have Palestine as their number issue; they aren’t voting for Biden. Who will they vote for since both Trump and Kennedy are pro Israel? Don’t know about West. Maybe they don’t vote or skip voting for president. I don’t see that changing at all and if an aid bill to Israel passes, that piss them off more. First, there’s no way turnout reaches the pandemic 2020 levels. I expect turnout to fall back closer to 2016 levels. There’s a group of Dems, especially among the young; that will not vote for Biden no matter what. Biden has hope he pick up some gop voters to make up what he loses among Dem voters or hopes those voters just don’t vote or vote Trump, if not voting him. Trump is leading now. Biden probably has until the convention to change minds. If he heads into the fall with leading in swing states; going to be hard to change minds then.

Even though there’s a rookie wage scale, the top picks still try to get as much as they can. I think Caleb will do that and try to get Chicago to break the norm and probably won’t sign until training camp starts. Why mention this? Our QB might not sign until they see how much Caleb can get from Chicago.

Kansas City rejected a funding plan to refurbish stadiums for Royals and Chiefs. Why mention that. At some point, when Josh reaches a deal for a site; he will want public funding. If the voters get a say, they might just reject it.

Projecting a bit too much Donny. We know if you win, it could be the last election we ever have. You’re an idiot and to stupid but the people you will have in place, will do their best to make it happen. Especially, if you are able to replace the entire government with your supporters. There will be a point if those people are in place and no longer need you, will have you eliminated Donnyboy.
