REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

 

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

 

The Redskins signed the following free agent:

            G Isaiah Williams

 

The Redskins waived the following player designated as injured:

            G Arie Kouandjio

I’m assuming Arie ends up on IR.  I believe for players who aren’t vested vets, you have to clear waivers before you get put on IR.  I think the intention is to not allow teams to stash rookies on IR with fake injuries.

Kouandjio cleared Waivers today and was put on IR by the Redskins.

Why do I feel like I've heard the name Isiah Williams bandied about before? Does anyone know anything about him?

He was on our practice squad in 2016/17 but I honestly cannot remember anything about him.  He has bounced around a little since then but so far no regular season action.  I think he is most likely just a camp body until the rest of the line gets healthy, I cannot see him making the 53.
