Yeah. I appreciate his ferocity, but he has a tendency to take the big hit.
There was another play early in the game where he broke the pocket and scrambled to the right, got the first down and about 8 yards later RIGHT along the sideline, he puts his shoulder down to finish the run. The defender got a smidge lower and hit him on the hip. His cleat stuck a little bit and the knee whipped awkwardly. He got up fine and didn't look hobbled, but 6 inches lower and he could be looking at an ACL injury. He had already gotten the first down so just stepped out of bounds. There was no reason to take on the defender at that point. Protect yourself, get the first down and get out of bounds or get down.
it's not an indictment, just an observation. He's a gamer, but I hope he understands the balance.
