I was reading about it last night... Guns, Jerms, & Steel by Jared Diamond. For lack of something better to read I picked it up and I'm reading it again. It's not a book about eagles... it's about civilizations. Diamond talks about why only a very small percentage of animals were ever domesticated. He uses birds of prey as an example of an animal that was quasi-domesticated... but never fully because of their tempermant and their tendancy to kill / mame their handlers on occasion. Nothing I can link to on the internet, though.
