Terry
You know, not the lead solo, but that hook that got you into the song in the first place. A few quick examples: Keith's riff that opens Brown Sugar. Pete's' opening riff for Pinball Wizard. Jimi's Wah Wah riff that opens Voodoo Child. Roger McGuin's Rickenbacker chiming out Mr Tambourine Man. The Clash's main chop in Should I Stay Or Should I Go. Cobain's lick in Come As You Are. The 'pretty' riff for Radiohead's Creep. Henry
Let's see, I'm a child of the 80s, so bear with me. Van Halen's got a ton of em, from Summer Nights, to Panama and Hot For Teacher, and Unchained Rush: Tom Sawyer, Limelight ... The Marathon bassline Huey Lewis and The News: I Want a New Drug, Working for a Living The Police: Message in a Bottle Metallica: Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman Queen: We will Rock You (one the guitar actually kicks in) Just about anything by AC/DC: Shoot to Thrill, Back in Black, Dirty Deeds ... it's pretty much all the same song.
