Now what I want to know is why Buffalo, Jacksonville and Baltimore have their picks grouped in with the playoff teams.

A team can make the playoffs and still pick ahead of a team that didnt, if their record is worse than the team that didnt make the playoffs?

i.e. St. Louis and Minnesota picking ahead of Buffalo, Jacksonville and Baltimore

Yep.

It looks like that is what will determine Dallas' and San Diego's pick.

Winner gets 11, loser gets 12th.

My guess is the reason the draft order tiebreaker doesn't use the playoff tiebreakers is that ties for draft order involve multiple teams from both conferences so in almost every case, it wouldn't apply. And it's draft order for the entire league, not conference. Strength of Schedule is really one of the few tie breakers that you can with multiple teams from both conferences.

Totally false. Head-to-Head is Tiebreaker #2. Coin flip is #3. How in the hell can you say Coin Flip comes before Head-to-Head ?? That's implying that a Coin Flip can result in a Tie !! Coin flip is always last

Maybe they flip the coin an even number of times! But I think he just meant that a coin toss is used instead of head-to-head, and I'm almost positive he is right.

nope.

If two or more non-playoff teams have the same record, strength of schedule is the tie-breaker...The team with the easiest schedule picks first...because they are a worse team....

If strength of schedule is the same, then they flip a coin...

It is what it is...
