Dirk Diggler
Philly has called a 4:15 press conference. Can't be good news...
@DCGoldPants
why can't it? we have a presser at 5pm today. Does that mean its bad news? They could easily say that is a sprain, he won't play until the playoffs.
afparent
They have to update the media and fans one way or another
skns4life
sucks that he might be out for the year, but now its even harder for the eagles to win the NFCC game or the SB...and if they dont, then we're going to have to hear those damn Eagle fan's say its because of Owens absence
SkinsNut73
The conference was specifically called to update TO's condition...they now have the findings of the various tests. If he were okay, seems like it would be something you'd mention in a normal press conf....if you cann one specifically for him...that sounds bad. If one player makes or breaks their team....they don't deserve a title. Otherwise our defense should be dead last!:2cents:
redskns21
Fractured fibula, a spiral fracture. Will need surgery to repair, will require screw through tibia and fibula.
redskns21
Surgery scheduled for Wednesday. He will be out at least 3 weeks. He may be able to run in 5 weeks. If everything goes perfectly, he may be able to play in 7 weeks in the Super Bowl if Philly even makes it that far.
Westbrook36
He'll be out till the Superbowl, if they get there.
Skins11
Wow, that's a huge blow for the Eagles. :obvious: There is no way they are getting there now. I hope the Eagles can at least handle the Rams though. McNabb will now have downfield to win.

Tough break for you, especially since our game plan was copied by Dallas for the most part and for two weeks you're offense has had some difficulty even with Owens in there. If teams continue to flood the passing lanes and McNabb continues to stand in the pocket you might have some real problems in the playoffs. My guess is McNabb will start to take games over and run 5 to 10 times a game now to replace what you just lost.
The X-Factor
This changes everything in the NFC. ANY team can win the playoffs. This is ridiculous.
Westbrook36
It's going to be a challenge. Our offense averaged more points over the last 10 games last year with Westbrook than this year with Owens.
JMac
Life just got tougher for Brian Westbrook. They will be keying on him now

Yeah seriously. This may be the most lopsided superbowl ever. Just think, if the Redskins had a few more wins... all those ridiculous posts about Superbowl wouldn't be that far off... @DCGoldPants
I stand corrected. I guess teams are going to gameplan around McNabb and Westbrook now. Let the CB's man up on the WR's.....spy the QB and RB.
project myu
Great, now we gotta depend on that loser Pinkston to clean up the Rams next week.. Argh.
bricucci
SEE LAST TWO NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES, REWIND AND PRESS PLAY AND YOU WILL SEE IT AGAIN THIS YEAR. I THINK IT WILL BE THE FALCONS WHO WILL GET BUTT SLAPPED BY THE AFC.
TheDane
That really sucks. I am genuinely sorry for the Eagles fans. To lose a player of that caliber in a game that was, for all intents and purposes, meaningless. I know they're the Eagles, but that sucks.

CoachTaylor
that sucks for philly. i never wish an injury on anyone. just gives the eagles an excuse if they lose. plus we need them to win on monday night. that really hurts them.
