afparent
Griffin Still Probable For Sunday By Gary Fitzgerald Redskins.com November 19, 2004 Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin sat out practice for the third day this week, but is still listed as probable on the team's injury report with a hip flexor injury. "We'll talk it over with the coaches and see how he feels on Sunday," head coach Joe Gibbs said after Friday's practice. Griffin suffered the injury during last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He missed most of the second half. "It's not a serious injury, which is good," Gibbs said. "It's just a matter of how quick he bounces back from it. I think it'll be day-to-day whether he plays this week or not." Jermaine Haley is listed as Griffin's backup, but defensive linemen Renaldo Wynn and Brandon Noble can also play the position if Griffin is unable to play. "Cornelius brings a whole lot to the table," said Joe Salave'a, who starts next to Griffin at defensive tackle. "To have him will be a big lift for all of us. If not, then we've got to back him up and get the job done." Quarterback Mark Brunell was added to the injury report with a calf injury. He suffered the injury during Friday afternoon's practice and is listed as probable for Sunday's game. Brunell will back up Patrick Ramsey in this Sunday's game against Philadelphia. The Redskins' Friday injury report lists linebacker LaVar Arrington (knee), defensive end Phillip Daniels (groin) and kicker John Hall (groin) as out for Sunday's game. Linebacker Mike Barrow (knee tendonitis) is questionable. Listed as probable are cornerback Fred Smoot (shoulder) and wide receiver Rod Gardner (ankle). For the Eagles, running back Reno Mahe (ankle) and defensive end Jerome McDougle (knee) are listed as out for Sunday's game. Linebacker Nate Wayne is doubtful with a hamstring injury. The Eagles' Friday injury report also listed as questionable are linebacker Keith Adams (ankle), guard Jermane Mayberry (calf), defensive tackle Corey Simon (groin) and linebacker Mark Simoneau (concussion). Listed as probable are running back Brian Westbrook (rib), kicker David Akers (left hip), safety Quintin Mikell (ankle), wide receiver Todd Pinkston (knee), safety J.R. Reed (hamstring), cornerback Dexter Wynn (hamstring) and tight end L.J. Smith (hamstring). http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=4433

NoCalMike
It is gonna feel weird playing the Eagles without Lavar Arrington in there. I know him and McNabb enjoy jawing at each other after plays.
