Tight ends coach Ron Middleton was with the Redskins in 1988, left for a year, then played for the Skins from 1990 through 1993. (He also coached with Jay Gruden's brother Jon for three seasons in Tampa Bay.) Ron Middleton ~~~ Wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell was actually drafted by the Redskins (12th round) and spent his 1991 rookie year on IR as the Skins won the Super Bowl. He got cut, played for 5 other NFL teams before coming back to the Redskins for one year in 2007. He was a studio analyst for Comcast's Redskins pregame show in 2008, and a Skins receivers coach from 2010-2012. (He also coached wide receivers at the University of Maryland in 2014-2015.
