I would say that his weak HOF resume measures up to what I saw on the field - an extraordinarily gifted player who ended up being very, very good but not really standing out much from the dozen or so other great WRs who have been in the NFL over the past 2 decades. The Calvin Johnsons of the world should be waiting around to get in, and the TOs of the world shouldn't even have to wait. There should be a HOF pre-check, like the TSA pre-check at the airport - 5x All Pro should be automatic first ballot. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Busch1724 Posted February 16, 2017 Share Posted February 16, 2017 Another issue is that not every wide receiver can get in. There's so many of them and not all of them were elite. When Calvin Johnson comes up, it'll be interesting to see how long/if it takes him to get in. I'm not so sure that he gets in.
