DC9
That's what you're for. There was a horrible tackling attempt by one of the DBs, didn't catch the number. A Rambo special. Not that invested. I just storm for equality sometimes. It's a plus that Army is moving the ball, at least in the first half.
RemoveSnyder
You're Pete Medhurst aren't you. I knew it! I don't even know who that is. Pete Maravich?
Momma There Goes That Man
I think there's a definite line between inspired art and something GrandMa would make for the pottery club. That aircraft carrier looks like something you'd find at Cracker Barrel stenciled onto a plate. Go Navy. How dare you always insult my appreciation for modern uniform designsCracker Barrel would be so lucky...
DC9
I don't even know who that is. Pete Maravich? Come on Pete... you're the play by play guy for the Middies! Used to work for 106.7 the fan.
RemoveSnyder
How dare you always insult my appreciation for modern uniform designs Cracker Barrel would be so lucky... It's fun because I assume I'm your elder and because it's the internet. But all in fun. It's also a good writing exercise making me work to come up with something humorous. You don't have to go very far to find truly curmudgeonly persons on ES. I'm just giving you some chin music, Jack Klugman Odd Couple style. DC9
Army has to avoid the turnover here. Have been close to scoring at the end of the first half a couple of years now. Turnovers to points on at least one of those. TOUCHDOWN ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thebluefood
Just noticed there's never been an Army-Navy Game played in D.C. proper. Wonder why that is. I've heard Griffith Stadium was never really very nice (was a total dump by the time D.C./RFK Stadium) but you'd think RFK would have been a prime place for it, especially right after it was built. RemoveSnyder
Army touchdown. Fake toss, playaction pass for 39 yards. Army leads 17 to 14. 2:08, 2nd quarter

The idea is that Philly would be the Navy "home game" and the Medowlands would be the Army "home game". Not sure why it's never been in DC proper. Besides RFK being a dump these days, maybe it had to do with those being the ceremonial home rotations.

RemoveSnyder
Why can't that energy from the defense spill over to the O? No scores so far in the 3rd quarter. 6:01 left. Army still leads 17 to 14. ---------- Post added December-12th-2015---------- Wide open receiver. Touchdown! ---------- Post added ---------- Keenan Reynolds pass to Jamir Tillman for the TD. Tillman dove outstretched into the endzone. 50 yard pass play. 21 to 17, Navy leads.

RemoveSnyder
Field Goal attempt by Army missed just wide left. Roughly 30 yard FG attempt. Navy leads 21 - 17. 12:19 - 4th quarter.
DC9
been watching this game since I was a kid. I've never seen a series where kickers make more 40 yard plus field goals and miss more in the teens or twenties than this one. Navy wins with a TD here. RemoveSnyder
Army had a good drive going, Navy escapes without giving up any points. ---------- Post added ---------- Reynolds has been off in the 2nd half. Navy seems unable to get the ball to the Wing backs on the pitch. ---------- Post added ---------- Some times you question the playcalling. Also questioning the execution. ---------- Post added ---------- Navy's secondary is stinking up the joint. ---------- Post added ---------- First turnover of the game. Army fumble. RemoveSnyder
Army should just pass the ball every down, Navy can't stop the pass. Navy should just run the ball with the way Reynolds has been off. Need to get the Wing Backs involved. ---------- Post added ---------- 3rd down, 4th quarter, Navy leads. You got to pass to win. DC9
My guess is Army gets to the red zone then fumbles. You were moving the ball just fine... and then that? That is why you lose every year.
