The Washington Redskins announced today that they have made the following roster moves:

The Redskins signed the following player to their active roster from the San Diego Chargers’ practice squad:

• CB Greg Ducre
  

The Redskins waived the following players:

• CB Richard Crawford
  
• S Akeem Davis
  

The Redskins signed the following practice squad player to their active roster:

• LB Jackson Jeffcoat
  

The Redskins signed the following free agent to their practice squad:

• LB Steve Beauharnais
  

The Redskins released the following player from their practice squad:

• TE Ted Bolser

Not sure I really understand the logic of these moves.  Got to feel for Davis though.  Life of a fringe player.  Wish they could have developed him.  During preseason, he seemed like a major effort guy with a lot of untapped potential.  Would have liked to see him groomed instead of constantly yo yoing.

Im surprised by the Akeem Davis cut....  He's not the worst member of our ST group.  Richard Crawford on the other hand had his number up back when the team picked up Andre Roberts out of free agency.  That and the fact that he never outshined any of our vets at the corner position.

Davis will likely go back to the PS.  They opened up two spots and only signed one guy

I think they are trolling Crawford and he will be resigned and cut at least 4-5 more times this season.
