hunterr
Don't know if this is in the right section but wanted to share my Saturday with the group. My family put together a retirement party for me this weekend after 20 years of service in the Army. I'm a life long Skins fan so naturally they tried to involve the, in some way. After trying to contact multiple players my brother in law managed to reach Clarence Vaughn. After multiple emails and phone call trying to figure out how to include him and surprise me Mr. Vaughn volunteered to send me a signed football as a retirement gift and even called during my party. He went above and beyond with the gift, managing to get one of the signed alumni footballs that have multiple Redskins greats on it. We talked for about 20 minutes and thanked me for my service and I thanked him for the Superbowl's and for all the games I watched him play in. My brother in law also managed to get hold of Lorenzo Alexander. I know he's not a Skin anymore but at the time of contact he still was. He was going to try to come to my ceremony but had a previous engagement the same day. We were then going to meet him somewhere but unfortunately that fell through too. Now he's sending something along in a few days. Just wanted to let everyone know about the classy former Redskins that took the time to show their support for the military and practically bent over backwards to make sure my day was extra special. Also wanted to public ally thank my family for everything they did and planned. ---------- Post added April-21st-2013 at 03:11 PM ---------- Oh they also managed to get two autographed, personalized pics from Joe Theisman. Just another example of a classy Redskin Alumni. ---------- Post added April-21st-2013 at 03:11 PM ---------- Oh they also managed to get two autographed, personalized pics from Joe Theisman.
