The Evil Genius
Save for a Roger Clemens who pitched once every 5 days, bats and HRs put people in the seats. Alot of baseball purists love a good pitching duel, but casual fans and non purist fans love to see runs and HRs. Unless a guy is pitching a no hitter or there's a classic duel (like the Twins/Morris and Braves/Glavine game 7 WS) in the WS, fans at regular season games want to see runs. Then I assume the casual fan is for aluminum bats in the MLB?
pjfootballer
I'm not sure about that. I'm far from a purist, and I love a low-scoring pitchers duel. I'm not saying all games would be 15-12. More like 7-4. I think most fans that go to the games would like to see at least a 3-2 game. Anything lower than that may bore people. Unless one of the pitchers is mowing them down with alot of strikouts. ---------- Post added June-14th-2011 at 04:15 PM ---------- Then I assume the casual fan is for aluminum bats in the MLB? You'd have to ask one. I'm not a casual fan. I't not a purist, but I've been watching MLB since 1978 when I was about 10. Aluminum bats would be death sentences for pitchers. Bubble Screen
Aluminum bats for pros is a stupid idea. Talk about something that has ZERO chance of happening. Geez. I step out of the thread for a bit and THIS is what you guys come up with?!
