Elessar78
I caught Shawshank Redemption again on TV the other night and it put me in the mood to read a good story about a daring escape. Ideally, non-fiction like Great Escape type stuff but fiction works well too. I checked Amazon and the reader reviews but I don't know those books from Adam, so just want to get the ES recommendations first. Looking forward to it. deejaydana
This one is an excellent read, just kind of happened upon it a couple years back and it's a great read from cover to cover. It's set in a former (now ruined) republic of the crumbled Soviet Empire and you will find yourself rooting for the central character. Really enjoyable read right here. China
Here are some original books that were later made into movies you might recognize. Some, such as Logan's Run, are not quite the same. HogNose
Papillon is a great read. It's about Devil's Island and Henri Charrier's plot to escape. Good flick too. http://www.amazon.com/Papillon-Henri-Charriere/dp/0060934794
