Coach Mike
I've been a huge Redskins fan since 1977. I need a kidney transplant. Please consider donating. A few years ago I wrote this in support of Art Monk for the HOF: http://www.coachmike.net/artmonk.php. Then I went to the induction ceremony: http://myredskinsblog.com/2009/07/29/art-monk-and-darrell-green-inducted-in-nfl-hall-of-fame-class-of-2008/ http://myredskinsblog.com/2009/01/30/nfl-hall-of-famer-art-monk/ I also was part of this to help Russ Grimm: http://myredskinsblog.com/2009/12/08/dirtbags-put-russ-grimm-in-the-hall-of-fame/. Now I need a kidney transplant. See www.mikeneedsakidney.com. See the cheesy videos on the site. The Dirtbags, of the Redskins Appreciation Club helped me out and did this song for me (and allowed me to play drums): Finally my newest video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTdaiP070NE. One day in the hospital for the donor can result in a new lifetime for the recipient. Thanks.
Arsenic
Wow.. best of luck to you, my friend.. but that's one hell of a request. Hope everything works out for you, dude. Regardless, Hail! edit: was looking at your site & noticed that you do some awesome things for other people as well. The karma will come back to you, I'm sure (hopefully, in the form of a new friend with a great new kidney).

polywog999
How would one go about donating a kidney? How do you know if your kidney would accept somebody elses? Who can be a donor? Donors need to be between the ages of 18 and early 70s and can include parents, children, siblings, other relatives, and friends. An ideal donor should have a genuine interest in donating.. As a prospective donor, you do NOT have to have the same blood type as Mike if you are willing to participate in a paired exchange program. A paired exchange consists of two donor/recipient pairs whose blood types are not compatible with each other. In Pair 1, Donor 1 is not compatible with Recipient 1. In Pair 2, Donor 2 is not compatible with Recipient 2. However, Donor 1 is compatible with Recipient 2 and Donor 2 is compatible with Recipient 1. Surgery for both pairs is done simultaneously. Donors should be in good general health. Donors do not need to be genetically related. Typically, someone who has cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, liver disease, sickle cell disease, HIV or hepatitis will not qualify to be a donor. However, these diseases are not all absolute contraindications to donation. Every donor will be considered on an individual basis. Talk to Mike, though....he knows more than me. I have the sickle cell trait so I don't think I could help personally, but I posted it on twitter for you. Hope that was/is ok. If not let me know and Ill delete it.
