Conn
can't trade compensation picks True, but it could allow us to trade one of our other 4ths without feeling as badly about it.
GhostofSparta
Actually, part of the formula does entail performance apparently. Saw it in another thread. Ah, I was not aware of that. I always thought it was based on contracts as a way for poorer teams to do something about losing marquee players. But hopefully Carlos' performance gives us a higher pick. pram11
Don't you have to lose more free agents than you sign to be eligible foe compensatory picks?
Madison Redskin
Don't you have to lose more free agents than you sign to be eligible foe compensatory picks? Free agent signings factor into the formula. We signed Coefield, Bowen, Wilson, Atogwe, and Chester to fairly big deals. So, in all likelihood, we're not going to get any compensatory picks. pram11
And players you release that sign with other teams don't count as a "free agent lost." We signed way more than we lost last year, so forget about any compensatory picks this year.

Destructis
We signed Bowen also. We won't get any draft picks unless it's one of those ones they throw in for a bad record.
