Zzj
Obviously not, or Heyer would be starting right now and not Will, correct? I dunno. I tend to think that Heyer has a firm hold on the backup tackle spot so that's why they had him practicing there today. Once Williams shows up Montgomery will head to third string is my guess. But maybe the Shanahans like Montgomery better? I'm sure they're better talent evaluators than our previous staff.

You don't throw your third stringer in there for no reason, skipping past the backup. The backup is the backup so that he can take over in times like today. So in my eyes, if he's healthy, Heyer doesn't seem to be the backup.

GhostofSparta
So it looks like (if I'm reading the sources right) a 6 year deal worth $60 mil with a $37.5 mil signing bonus?
