If you really watched Reed this year, he only has gotten beat in coverage from poor technique 2 or 3 times. Even Ed Reed would have allowed the catches that were made by Shockey yesterday because Reed was in position on every throw and only the "perfect passes" were caught. We remember the big burns in his first couple of years and the limited play from injury last year. He's healthy and proving what his experience and health brings to the table. On the other hand we remember the big blow out hits of Landry but we forget that there are at least 2 blown coverages for every big hit he makes. He's always out of position and he misses tackles when he is in position. But hey he's a great safety. Why? The numbers don't lie. If Laron and Chris were making 1 tackle per 8.5 snaps the numbers would show it. Sadly we have to look past their numbers to something else in order to rank either one above Reed. By the way, let's send Palamou to the pro bowl since he is doing so well this year. And let's send Clinton Portis as well because we all know he's a better running back than whoever does go. If we keep going after players like Landry instead of solid players like Doughty we deserve what we get. Spectacular plays instead of wins. BTW did you see that tackle on Bell yesterday?
