What would you challenge? It is a penalty. The defense can decline it like they did. The line of scrimmage is not like the sideline where the play ends when you cross it with the ball. I found myself cussing at Campbell on the int and fumble but realized that hese are plays that all QBs made this week. Brees Manning and Brady were all picked off . It Happends.. But they were allowed to make up for it while Campbell is told to hand it off to Portis 3 consecutive downs. Then when Campbell calls his plays and runs the no huddle he excels!! ..and when he checks down for a passing play on 3rd and 8 he checks to a running play. He plays like he is scurrred. An illegal forward pass is NOT a dead-ball foul like illegal motion or delay of game. The defense can take the penalty or the RESULT of the play.
