truskin4life
I was at the Bengals and Skins game (worst game in football history), and I herd the bengals fans saying they hope they lock up Grahm because he is a free agent this year! I say we try to sign him as soon as possible. I am so sick of closing my eyes because I dont want to watch our kicking shank a 32 yrd field goal!@! SkinsWizCubsDukes
Kicker is a top priority. Graham would be a great pickup. I expect him to get out of Cincy.

DieselPwr44
Rob Bironas of Tenn. is a FA too , so we've got options.
pjfootballer
I'd take Bironas first, but Graham may be cheaper.

bulldog
if you are going to spend money on a specialist, it should go to the plackicker. A good placekicker will be the difference maker in 3-4 games during the regular season. A makeable field goal missed by Suisham against the Rams meant losing 19-17 instead of winning 20-19. A makeable field goal missed by Suisham against Dallas in the second game meant having to go on fourth down in Dallas territory in the fourth quarter at 14-10, instead of being able to line up for a game winning field goal with the score at 14-13. truskin4life
I actually just bought the history of the Redskins, which I really enjoyed since I am only 27 and learned alot. Heck, I didnt even know Lambardi coached for us! Anyway, when George Allen was our coach he won the majority of the games with a kicker. He felt defense and special teams were way more important than a QB and RB. The analyst was saying one year our kicker won over 70% of our games! This goes to show you how important a kicker can be. pjfootballer
The first two acquistions in Free Agency for this team should be BIRONAS or GRAHAM at kicker and LECHLER at punter. Throw some money at them. Seriously, like bulldog said above, we could have won more games with a better kicker and we lost ALOT of field position with our punters shanking kicks. The funny thing is that Curt Knight, the original kicker under George Allen, was considered a good kicker at the time but his career FG % was 57.7%. He made the Pro Bowl in 1971 with 59.2% (29-49). Times have changed.

I dont think Suisham missed a FG in the St. Louis game. I checked the stats and I dont think he missed one. Regardless of that, we should bring in someone to challenge Suisham.
