The Evil Genius
I have a '99 Mazda Protege that has a check battery indicator light show up on the dashboard from a cold start (and only in the morning). What makes the situation even odder is that the light doesn't always come on every morning. I have had both the battery and the alternator checked and they are both good. Any ideas on what could be causing the check battery indicator light to pop on sometimes? The mechanic I took it to was at a loss...

motorhead
Tighten the hell out of your battery cables. Take them off and clean them with a wire brush. Make sure they are tight.
