rdskn4eva
I checked Redskins.com and NfL.com and they both have him over 220. Isn't that boderline powerback weight?
SkinsTerpsFan
he definitely looks a lot bigger this year...whatever works for ya works for ya!
BigRedskinDaddy
Yeah, I don't buy it. NFL teams are no different than teams at lower levels; they fudge their numbers a bit. I've certainly never worked the carnival circuit but to me he looks like he's @ 215 max. Whatever his weight, it's working for him. He's big enough to push the pile when he needs to, but still light enough to make guys miss and turn on the afterburners once in a while.
expensivegift
He's a legit power back. He gained a bunch of weight/muscle during his 2nd year under Gibbs. Now that he's been this weight for quite some time we see his full transformation into a bruising butterfly. I still can't forget that 4th and 1 to clinch the win. 2 years ago Portis wasn't able to do that. I'd have Betts, Sellers or Rock for short yardage but now Portis can do it. terpfan
223 at 5'10" isnt hard to believe. Portis is pretty well built. He's no light weight.

He's been doing it his entire career. I don't know why people always thought Sellers or LB could do it. Hell, Sellers can't do it now. He excels in the open field. Jofizz
I remember hearing he lost all of that weight after the 06 season. Maybe it wasn't updated, although CP did spend a lot of time in the weight room during the offseason.
gutlead74
rule of thumb, subtract 10 pounds from roster=actual weight. I can def tell that he is stronger
CRobi21
Hmm. Bumping their weight up, I think they got it confused there honey. <metrosexual voice>
GoSkins8921
He is much more of a power back here than he was in Denver. But yea people are right, of course, about fudging numbers. Santana's listed at 5'10", I'm 5'10" and tower over him lol.
