Browns TE Winslow Now Deemed Questionable For Week 6

Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Plain Dealer - [Full Article]

Cleveland Browns HC Romeo Crennel called TE Kellen Winslow "questionable" for Week 6 against the Giants. Crennel said Winslow has a 50% chance of playing in the game. "We know that he'll be out there if at all possible," said Crennel. Crennel did not specify the nature of Winslow's illness, citing privacy laws in part. A team source said it's not a staph infection, which has plagued other Browns players, including Winslow, in recent years. If Winslow can't play, Steve Heiden and Darnell Dinkins will replace him. Rookie tight end Martin Rucker is not ready for action yet, Crennel said.

From PFT:

WINSLOW STILL IN THE HOSPITAL

Posted by Mike Florio on October 11, 2008, 7:38 a.m.

Browns tight end Kellen Winslow unexpectedly spent a second night in the Cleveland Clinic with an undisclosed illness.

His arms and legs aren’t falling off or anything like that,” coach Romeo Crennel said.

Winslow is still listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Giants.

“We all know he has had some injuries that he has had to deal with and he’s played through them, and at times we’ve had to manage him so that he can play through them. We know that he’ll be out there [Monday] if at all possible. If it’s possible that he can be there, he’ll be there.”

We reported on Friday regarding talk among players that Winslow was suffering from swelling in a certain area where no man wants swelling to occur.

WINSLOW ON ANTIBIOTICS FOR INFECTION

A league source tells PFT that Browns tight end Kellen Winslow is currently in the Cleveland Clinic receiving antibiotic treatments for an infection.

Per the source, it’s still iffy whether he will be ready to go for Monday night’s home game against the Giants.

Original post: "Giants may catch another break"

Thread still isn't about the Giants, per se. It's about Winslow's condition.

But then again, the Browns would need more than a healthy Winslow to beat the Giants. They should be beating teams that are on their soft part of the schedule anyhow.

There are several reasons why his junk could be swollen..

http://www.4-men.org/testicle-swelling.html

One that isn't listed here but could also be the cause is an inguinal hernia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inguinal_hernia

we know, and hope it's not serious

but given KWII's attitude, and the nature of the injury... it does make it easy to assume, and joke about
