darrelgreenie
Which, if any of the Redskins rookie pass catchers will become a rookie of the week candidate first?
CRobi21
Hmmm. That's a tough one to call as of right now dg. If I had to choose, right now, has to be D Thomas.
Shilsu
For now, I'd also say Devin Thomas. He's the only one that's playing.
letzgoterps
Hi, my name is Chris Horton. Ever heard of me? And yes, you may say pass catchers, but he'll "catch" more pass catches than any of them more than likely.

letzgoterps
:doh:Also dg, I like the nicknames. Nice work! Haha What? You doubt me? Tell me how any of these other rookies will be "rookie of the week." Honestly now. You have Devin Thomas who would rather make PI penalties than be a contribution to the offense. You have Fred Davis who is stuck behind two superior TEs in Cooley and Yoder. You have Malcom Kelley who barely plays one play and whose knee flares up. Come on now! I know these guys are bound to be better sooner rather than later, however based on what we've seen to date...there's been no contribution. Besides, I'm still on the Horton train until he stops producing...which seems to be a very long time from now.

Ever heard of me?And yes, you may say pass catchers, but he'll "catch" more pass catches than any of them more than likely. Actually, Horton may have more catches than Devin and he plays defense. But I think we need to give Devin and Kelly some time.

I agree. DeSean Jackson and Eddie Royal are making an early impact because of opportunity. They both have at least 1 injured receiver on their team and lack quality number 2 & 3 receivers. :2cents:
dfitzo53
If Devin Thomas gets the PI penalties under control I think he'll really do some damage.

You have Fred Davis who is stuck behind two superior TEs in Cooley and Yoder. You have Malcom Kelley who barely plays one play and whose knee flares up. I agree with this entirely. Actually, Horton may have more catches than Devin and he plays defense. :doh:But I think we need to give Devin and Kelly some time. The sad thing is what you said is true if you subtract every reception with every penalty he incurs (including the special teams penalty)
redskins59
I voted for Devin Thomas because he seems to be improving to me. He may have a great day tomorrow.
zCommander
We don't have any standouts right now.
georgiaredskin
If he can avoid the penalties, the obvious current choice is Devin.
CM916
Thomas made a really big play for us against the Cards but the refs robbed him of it. He's hungry to get a 70-yard TD that counts next time.
Diver
If Devin Thomas gets the PI penalties under control I think he'll really do some damage. I agree with you...He did make 2 big catches against Filthy...both were on 3rd down and went for 1st down conversions.
darrelgreenie
Which, if any of the Redskins rookie pass catchers will become a rookie of the week candidate first? I think its gonna be Davis. We have been using the singleback double TE set often and recently Davis has been in there alot. We mostly run from this set but we have passed a few times. If we use playaction from this formation defenses will likely respect Cooley and leave Davis open. :2cents:
