I do think right wing paranoia has a dark history in this country going back to Joe McCarthy. Loosely throwing around terms like "terrorist" and "commie" the way Palin and McCain's brother do (respectively) is not good for the country. In fact it's not even good for their campaign despite the fact that they've been told it is.
