Jumbo
To answer the question, certainly a great talent in a given field can have a rough stretch without it tarnishing their legacy, as I would say is the case here. While the primary bottom line, w/l in G2, doesn't help his legacy you could certainly make a valid spin that in a tough division with many injury problems during his tenure he helped make the playoffs 2 out of 4 years. That's not too shabby. I will miss him far beyond his w/l record here. He, as much as any single person can be, is the Redskins to me.
MattGeorge85
Joe Gibbs will always be the man past, present, and future. He's the only coach that we've ever had that has given me hope. I am one of the Redskins Nation who will miss him greatly. God Bless You and Your Family Coach Gibbs.
BleedBNG
Did Gibbs Tarnish His Legacy? This is a ridiculous question. How can you tarnish what has already been acheived? You can tarnish character, but not legacy. Anyways, I love the question: 5) Will the Redskins ever win a Super Bowl with Daniel Snyder as owner? and I kept thinking that Snyder will be the owner for a long time so I didn't want to say "no."
